For most, history only seems to be relevant when you are talking about a person's life that is from a different political perspective.  When it is a politician they support, then past history no longer seems to matter.

Just one more way that partisanship is affecting people.

Such are those with agendas, closed minded people with blinders on.  They see only what they want to see.  This is why I cannot stand this forum, not because I dislike political news, but how people twist everything one way or the other.  It happens on both sides of the isle, so no one side is exempt.  The fruit of these discussions are not Christ like for the most part.

Which leads one to ask why do you continue to post in a forum you cannot stand?

For the most part, due to moderation purposes.  As I said, it is not the news I dislike, it is the way people response to others, which brings us back to moderating

That makes sense.  It must be hard to put aside personal political views while moderating.

In all honesty,  I have very little political views myself.  God appoints whom He will to office to fulfill His purpose.  That is the only political view I try to hold onto.  I can, however, watch and pray.

I will admit, that is not the impression I had gotten from your post prior to you becoming a Mod again.  Shows how wrong we can be about people I guess.

Everyone has the flesh to deal with.  Sometimes we falter, other times we stay the course.

OneLight, I just noticed you're back to being a moderator! Didn't you leave that post a while back or am I remembering wrong?

So, Saunders has many groupies, and what does that say about the level of awareness of many in the country, the astuteness of his followers? Ever watch Jay leno or Mark Dice ask random people on the street or on Campuses political or current events questions? It is sad as much as funny, Leno picked the most amusing ones for airing-but these I fear are the typical lefty Sanders followers the occupiers those that bought the socialist-marxist marketing.  People who the Community Organizers can manipulate, those directed by stirring up their emotions are the easiest political pawns at the grassroots, those ruled by feelings, hooked in by catch phrases, not by rational processes.

I have watched some of those 'man on the street' type interviews too and the ignorance of EVERYTHING is astounding.  One student, on the show I watched, said he voted for Sanders because he could give everyone free college and a guaranteed wage.  Some others barely knew who Sanders was but their friends were for him so.....  Some protesters when interviewed were there because others were there; they didn't even know what issue they were protesting.  Still others admitted they didn't even vote.   Unbelievable.

Your memory is correct.  I left and came back.  I have been back for about a month now.
