Rightdddd

I feel its wrong in my heart, that a church or Christian institution would deny a person because they have remarried and their ex is alive.

I just hope those making the decisions are a pure as snow.

SJ,

I understood it as if the brother in Christ has been shown the error of his ways but continues to sin, then leave him alone - have nothing to do with him.

Again - in the case of remarriage - what is the person supposed to do then? Divorce again, and commit more sin?

Another example in the OP was people being turned away because of their political views. Are we going to judge those with different political views as unrepentant sinners? So now one has to be of a certain political persuasion to be allowed into church? Scary.

What about a homosexual that wants to come to services? Should they be banned from coming in? How will they hear the Word of God and be convicted to apply it to their life if they are prohibited from coming in because they are deemed unworthy?

Not at all.  I find it interesting the church decided his wife and children should be banned from the church as well as himself.

That is so wrong. Absolutely no Biblical grounds for that. I would run far from that "church".

God does not leave the decision up to men.  He said clearly what to do.

If they do not obey GOD'S instruction (which is very specific) then the whole assembly is impure, disobedient, and their testimony has no power to help anyone heal or be saved.

Read in GOD'S WORD, WHY the wickedness (the sin) , is to be removed ,

and WHY the goal is not condemnation at all,   but so that the one put out will repent and be clean/ forgiven.

Think about this - if the administration allows sin to continue growing in the assembly,  where there once was light,  becomes darkness.

Is the remarried spouse supposed to now divorce?

This is most difficult,  but the pastors who lead GOD'S assembly look for true repentance - they must separate and remain separated until it is possible to be together without being sinful.  (if ever)

IF there is repentance ,  everyone is forgiven and can have pure clean fellowship again (and go and sin no more).

So what is your solution for those who are divorced and remarried and are Christians? How should they get out of that sin?

As JESUS said,  the road to life is narrow, and few are there who find it.

Some translations may say "painful", or "strict" or similar.    It is not , however, ever popular. (i.e. most people never join)
