What I read was not what I expected to read - the way the title was set-up.

Check it out:

"From Jesus to Christ"

What do you think?

I started to read it about an hour ago, and after the first paragraph or two I was disgusted. So I took the poll that was offered. Such a shame, to be so disrespectful at such a time for Christians.

You know when Yon Kippur comes around, No one goes around making fun of the Jewish cleansing of sins for the year. It is such a double standard for Christians. WE have to be so tolerant of such blatent disrespect meanwhile being sensitive to everyone else, whilst they stone us verbally. God will reign. God does reign.

Actually, you need to read past the first paragraph.

Actually, you do need to read the whole thing.

This just goes to show the complete ignorance of OT scriptures that CONTINUES to plage the Jews and as well all sinners.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Actually, in one of the pages, it seems the article acknowledges that the disciples had a hard time believing Jesus rose to begin with because they didn't understand the OT Scriptures themselves.

I find it kind of amusing... they can't figure out how Christianity has lasted so long...

I got the impression from reading through the whole thing that the only way Christianity could have lasted was if Jesus actually was raised fromt he dead!

Thanks, Eric!

Here, for the others, this is what is found at the end of the first page:

A stone sealed the grave and, according to Mark, just after the sun rose two days later, Mary Magdalene and two other women were on their way to anoint the corpse with spices. Their concerns were practical, ordinary: were they strong enough to move the stone aside? As they drew near, however, they saw that the tomb was already open. Puzzled, they went inside, and a young man in a white robe

You know Neb, I found this to be an interesting read for the most part as well. I expected what everyone else assumed it was, and it turned out to give more weight to the Christ then it was taking anything away.

God Bless,

Dave

I read this article several days ago and considering the source, I was quite impressed that the author gave as much credibility to Christianity as he did.

But on the other hand, I think this is also in line with and fuels the current church growth movement driven by Rick Warren.  A Christianity with out repentance.

You all saw what book the woman read to the court house murderer.  Very curious I think.

Unless I misunderstand, this is one of the most mean-spirited posts I have read here at WorthyBoards. Could you explain how this post relates to the topic of this thread? Thank you.
