(Worthy News) - In what would be a shocking repudiation of Prime Minister Theresa May, British exit polls Thursday suggested the ruling Conservatives were on course to lose their majority in Parliament in an election Mrs. May called to cement her power and boost her bargaining leverage ahead of tough negotiations over exiting the European Union.

While the final results were uncertain late Thursday, it seemed clear that Mrs. May’s bid to build up her slender majority had backfired badly and that the Labor Party and its beleaguered leader, Jeremy Corbyn, had far surpassed the expectations of just two months ago.

While the Conservatives were on course to remain the single largest party in the House of Commons, the exit polls pointed to a “hung Parliament” that would require Mrs. May to cobble together a coalition to stay in power or even clear the way for Mr. Corbyn to try to put together a governing coalition of his own. praying that Gods will be done here as this has all the signs of a disaster waiting to happen ... without a strong majority the exit from EEC may be  delayed or doomed and we will never get back control of our borders :(

T. May should have left things alone instead of calling for an election.

Apparently she called the election with the hope of a much different outcome.  As one who lives there, do you think the recent terror attacks in London affected the outcome?

If so, that's pretty scary, isn't it?

Blessings,

No it is more likely that Labour promised to stop students fees for uni , that got over a million votes from new voters who signed up as well as extra votes from parents of students. They also promised to give pay rises and tax cuts left right and centre whilst May has said she is cutting benefits etc and making people wait for pay rises. Easy to vote for what gives jam now but not so easy to pay for it with bread and water next time around and that is what has happened all to often here

Was May wrong to call an election 3 years before she needed to .. well hindsight is amazing and she took a gamble hoping to strengthen her position and lost spectacularly

The clear picture is seen better when you know that other parties lost more than the conservatives did whilst Labour .. who are promising a land of milk and honey without saying how they will pay for it .. have won so many seats

Oh and she could have her majority easily if she teamed up with the N Irish lot BUT they refuse to allow same sex marriage ( they have managed to stop it becoming legal in Ireland so far ) so that wont happen either :(

if anything it should have been a landslide as she was talking tough on terrorism. but it seems the younger voters just cant get their head around brexit. and corbyn seems to have a strong following of young people.
