Amen! The early Christian church had no creed but the Holy Scriptures. The Word and the Spirit was (is) the head of the church, not man.

Isn't that what I just posted, or are you trying to agree with me?

There was no Nicene creed for the first 3 centuries.

The so called apostles creed was not written by the apostles. Nor is it found in the Bible.

It is not a sin to be tempted to sin. It is what you do with the desire that arises from that temptation.   The problem arises when we see sinful desires as non-sinful.

Jesus taught that sin begins in the heart, that it is not enough to simply not commit the act;  there should be nothing in our hearts to prompt us to sin in the first place.

When it is taught that homosexual attraction/desire is not sinful, that only acting on those desires is sinful, then we have a teaching that goes against Scripture.

Temptation incites sinful desires.  What separates Christians from everyone else is not the absence of temptation and sinful desires, but our response to them.

Sin is not only something of an action of a physical nature, sin is also caused by dwelling on a thought. Dwelling on that temptation, or called lusting over it.

A number of Commandments are broken this way including the 1st. "Have no strange God's before me."

When a person lusts over something  that person, at least for the moment, is putting the thing or person before God.

I know I'm budding my nose in. But start a post on this. Let's get back on topic. This gay stuff is way more important than church politics.

Ask any gay person and they will tell you they were born this way. So what does that say? It is sin? A mental illness?

If you like doing what you want, and it is against God's teaching. I'm sure there will be all sorts of stories.

Think of a child that steels. Parents ask where did you get this. If the child is not remorseful, lies upon lies
