There are those who are too staunch in my opinion that are wrapped far too tight with self made restrictions that they resemble a sour individual to the casual observer.  I have a cousin that fits that description to a tee.

do you mean like they are too inflexible in terms of the teaching of Scripture?

That's Grumpy Cat, the multimillionaire feline.  She always looks sour because she was born with Feline Mongolism, a birth defect.  I just LOVE Grumpy Cat.  :)

Yeah, I made a meme out of a picture of him with the word Catatude. Amalimals, many times remind us of how we should be treating our fellow humans.

Not inflexible but they assume that if others don't hold their opinion in as high of a regard as they themselves do, that somehow makes them less pious.

i wish i know what to say.

but at this point i am very much seeking the word myself

for me, i know it is important to stay in the word of the Lord and take them as they comes

i don't know, i have met Christians who are so close to the Lord, even though they believe in the word of God literally, they are just so filled with God's love, and you feel so loved by them, you know they may disagree with you, but they never judges you, if that makes sense.....

but i think everyone is at different stages in terms of their relationship with God

and not every who says they are Christians are actually born again, some maybe just religious, even they may not feel that way.

you know, i remember seeing this film once, the Magdalene sisters

the film is based on this true story of this home for unwed mothers that was ran by Irish nuns in the 1960s i believe.

i don't know how exaggerated the film was, but the treatment would be atrocious in real life i imagined, either way, one of the character in the film that was based on a real life went crazy eventually, it was horrific to watch...

but that is the thing though, i wonder if any of those sister were born again, because if one have not experience God's love, and don't have the Spirit to guide them, they could have have very legalistic way in terms of interpreting the word, and without God's love, they could turn into this monster of self righteousness....

that is what happens to people who are religious i think.....

but this is just mine take on the situation

God bless.

Did you miss the comment about their opinions.  I'm not talking about anything Biblicaly written. I'm talking about reading and coming to a conclusion that they thought weredevinly inspired instead of uttered be someone.

The term metaphor passes you. You claim "you are not Jesus", yet ignore your friends claim of "Pharisee".

So do you sin when you sleep? or eat? Do you sin every second of existence?

Or do you agree that it's possible to avoid sin for more than 5 seconds? If so, then why not a lifetime?

Poking and pointing fingers at "false doctrine", with weak responses doesn't qualify. Especially when you have no foundation of scripture. Other than making empty statements of your opinion. Also blanketing your friends sourness, by assertion of "false doctrine", doesn't qualify.

Well mostly because God through John says this

1 John 1:10 (KJV)

[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
