What bothers me is when they do not capitalize the pronouns when describing God such as the NIV and the ESV. That seems like a lack of respect. Sounds like your pretty convinced and have your mind made up concerning biblical truths, you don't know how I keep the sabbath, and yes, there are SDA people breaking all the commandments. But it doesn't change the fact that the SDA church has biblical truth, it will be made very clear to all of us living here on this earth, I believe, in the very near future. God blessed, sanctified and made holy one day of the week. And that day was the seventh day. It's very apparent and clear that you don't have much knowledge in regards to biblical truth or maybe your just wanting to believe what YOU want to believe. In this case, they mess with this verse to alleviate the problem of holding on to the bogus concept of soul sleep. SDA's teach soul sleep, so Luke 23:43 has to be re-worked to make that teaching viable. The entire comma issue is a non-starter. Luke 23:43 does support the SDA concept of soul sleep. I will ask you the same question I have asked others here: How can you serve Christ, and be a member of the SDA church at the same time? How can you have any moral credibility at all to go around advocating Sabbath-keeping when your church-supported hospitals routinely perform elective abortions?
