A slight tangent perhaps,  but also perhaps an answer:    How Did Adam Receive the Breath of YHVH ?  (oh,  he wasn't "a living adam yet" .... hmmmm )

Baptism doesn't promise the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is GOD and comes and goes as He pleases. Especially before the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

During those times and the times before Christ, people were moved by the Holy Spirit, but could not receive Him, for He was not sent until Christ died and rose again and sent Him.

As for baptism, baptism is not the receiving of the Holy Spirit, but simply a showing of ones dedication to receive Him. Nor is it required, but is rather a commandment to do so, just as spreading the good news o Christ is. Which we ought to do. But because we cannot possible do all that is commanded and are in need of Christ to fulfill all that is required, we attain all through coming to Christ and believing that He is able to save... And then, at a time of His choosing, He will send the Holy Spirit, just as He promised.

It's so much greater than just "being cool", zorgblar.

One receives the Holy Spirit when one is saved.  Baptism has nothing to do with it.  If you are truly saved, the Holy Spirit resides in you.  The Bible says Christians can grieve the Holy Spirit.  When we sin that's what we do.  Please don't grieve the Holy Spirit with dabbling in the occult.
