And on a personal note I would like to thank yowm for exposing that wicked message for what it is .

That man in the video actually said JESUS asked for his forgivness.     What a dung pile message.   As though JESUS needs forgiveness from sinful sinfilled men .

Instead of submitting and committing themselves to be conformed by God to the image of Christ, Christians want to make, and have made, God in their own image---the image of fallen Adam, to fit into and accommodate their unspiritual desires and worldly living.

(WWJD? Anything that feels right to you, since Jesus is just a man like yourself! Jesus is anything you want Him to be, as it suits and enables your preferences and desires.)

Unfortunately for people like these, God and Christianity have not changed and cannot be changed. They can "change" Him and what He gave us all they want, but they're only deceiving themselves and being disobedient to the truth.

(Keep having those itching ears scratched: It will not be well with you.)

So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf.

And they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!"

When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made proclamation and said, "Tomorrow shall be a feast to the LORD."

And they rose up early the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play. (Exodus 32:3-6)

Yes they did , they rose up to play.    For they said in their heart What has become of this moses ,   let us make us gods to serve.

Want to hear something that should scare the socks off this generation .     First notice that Moses had indeed made intercession for the people  , he even said

Let him die too.    And God said NO , the soul that sins it shall die .     Now , what happened when this intercessor Moses returned.

GAME TIME was over and many died .

Now for the scary part that this generation is blind too.

For it too says................WHAT has happened with this JESUS , he has been gone a long time ,   Come let us build us a golden bull of INTERFAITH

let us all be one and they rise up to play.

WHAT do ye suppose will happen , WHEN BAM in an instant that DAY , HIS DAY comes on them unawares .

FOR if the punishment under the law , by two or three witnesses was sore

HOW MUCH SORER for a generation that tramples JESUS underfoot and takes up the GOLDEN BULL OF INTERFAITH .

GOD is not well pleased with this UNITY with ROME nor her interfaith .    My advice have nothing to do with her , that all inclusive move , but rather expose their deeds of wickedness.

Once upon a time, the Jews stoned Christians. Once upon a time, Catholics burned true Christians at the stake as heretics. Now all three get along and Christians accept unsaved Jews and Catholics as fellow believers in God or fellow Christians, (just like they accept pretty much anyone who 'believes in Jesus' in some form, or even just in "God", as in the case of unsaved Jews). We know that the Jews still reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah and the Son of God, and that the Catholics haven't changed their heretical beliefs and practices, and we know that the New Testament has not changed its teachings. So the Christians who are joining hands with Jews, Catholics and other unsaved people and calling them brothers, and telling them that they're alright spiritually, are just compromisers and apostates.

7 Helpful Tips For How To Be More Discerning

We can all use more discernment---especially these days when there is so much discord and confusion among Christians.

Here are seven practical tips for how to stay on the right path and avoid the evil, the worthless, and the erroneous.

An acronym...

S K I P P I T
(As in, if it's no good, skip---avoid/discard---it.)

1. S is for SEEK: Seek God's Word.
(Search and study it for yourself. Don't rely on someone else to do it for you. We get out of our walk with the Lord what we put into it: If you're too lazy or busy with other priorities to make time to study your Bible, you deserve to be ignorant.)

2. K is for KEEP: Keep what you learn.
(Put what the Lord teaches you into practice, faithfully. If you do so, He will add more knowledge and understanding to you.)

3. I is for INTENTIONS: Make sure your reasons for seeking knowledge and understanding are righteous.
(God knows...)

4. P is for PRODUCE: What kind of fruit is your practice or belief producing?
(Is it making you more Christlike in spirit and behavior---or is it making you proud, suspicious, self-centered/self-preoccupied, self-righteous, angry, neurotic, etc.? RED FLAG !)

5. P is for PLEASING: Is what you are doing pleasing to God; and if you think it is, why?

6. I is for IDENTITY: Has your identity ceased to become Christ, and being a follower of Him, and become some other thing?
(For example: Wearing special clothes, eating (or not eating) certain foods, reading a particular translation of the Bible, belonging to a certain group/church/denomination, adhering to a certain kind of lifestyle, etc.)

7. T is for TEST: Test the spirits to see whether they are from God.

P.S. The better we know our God and His Word, the better we can discern what, and who, is or is not of Him. And the less well we know Him and His Word, the less discerning of such things we will be---and the more susceptible to persuasions of deceiving spirits.

The Exhortation Thread (For Christians Who Love Jesus)

:emot-heartbeat:

The purpose of this thread is for Christians who love Jesus Christ to encourage one another, and to find encouragement from others, to obey Him, and to press on on the narrow and difficult road, on which encouragement to obey the Lord, and like-minded fellowship, is often scarce.

There is plenty of temptation to do evil and encouragement to compromise, but not much encouragement to obey, to be pure and holy, and to be faithful.

This thread is for encouraging the timid, the weary, the embattled and the down-hearted to stand firm in the doctrine of the New Testament and in all the will of God, to persevere and not to compromise, and for the edification and refreshment of those who desire to do what pleases the Lord in all things and to live wholly for Him, no matter what the cost.

(This thread is to exhort Christians to live according to the commandments and teachings of the New Testament, not the Old Testament, so please do not use this thread to tell people to keep the Law of Moses.

It is also not a thread for KJV-Only promotion, so please do not use it for that purpose.)

Share Scripture, share hymns, share words of Godly wisdom, share personal experiences, share difficulties and what is on your heart; find advice, knowledge, encouragement, and consolation.

Please remember to keep your attitude and motives in harmony with the Holy Spirit, and to speak the truth in love, and be mindful of the purpose of this thread in what you post here and in your interactions with others.

Please also bear in mind that what is loving and what is right is not always pleasant or desirable to hear, and do not accuse others of being unloving or judgmental simply because you do not like what they have said, which may be the truth and for your benefit.

-------

Take care brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. (Hebrews 3:12,13 ESV)

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world---our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:3-5 ESV)

I believe the commandments of the new testament is based on grace. The commandments of the old testament is based on works. That if you do them then your righteous before God. But in the new testament  your righteousness is based on grace through faith.

We have a righteous standing before God because Jesus died for us instead of us facing the wrath of God. So we are indeed righteous by Jesus.

Now we can walk in his commandments given to us to walk in love. We dont have to keep the commandments given to us to make ourselves right before God. Because we are already in a righteous standing.  But we walk in his commandments to fellowship in truth and in the light. If we are not walking in the light then our fellowship is broken.

Let's love one another and put sin out of our lives to please God. Them we will bear fruit

The commandments and teachings of the New Testament can only be kept and lived by grace--which is the power of God to do His will, something that only Christians have, and which the Jews did not have to keep the law that they were given.

We are saved by grace through faith (And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8,9); but what we do after being saved does determine whether we stay saved. That's not "works salvation"; it's just abiding by God's conditions for keeping what was given to us as a free gift. Just because we didn't do anything to receive it, doesn't mean that it doesn't come with conditions for keeping it once we have received it.

All of God's promises have conditions, and focusing on His promises while ignoring the conditions of the promises is a big mistake. Both need to be recognized. We are saved so long as we choose to remain in Christ after coming to be in Him; but God doesn't take away our free will when He saves us, so that we cannot choose not to remain in Christ. His commandments are not just helpful hints for how to live a Christian life; God absolutely expects us to keep them, by His grace, and there are consequences for not doing so---not just the chastening of the Lord, but even the potential forfeiture of our salvation. (That many Christians do not understand or accept this very important truth does not change the fact that it is what the New Testament teaches.)

I guess people just don't understand how there can be work required for keeping something that was given to them as a gift and not because of works. It's never baffled me, and it amazes me how this simple and fundamental Christian truth eludes so many people, when it's very plainly explained in the New Testament. But the Holy Spirit is our Teacher, not just the Bible itself; so unless God explains this to a Christian, he or she won't understand it or believe it, even with all the Scripture in the New Testament.

Works done/required to be saved? No.

Works done/required to stay saved after being saved? Yes.

The idea that keeping the commandments of the New Testament in order to keep one's salvation is "works salvation" is ludicrous, in light of what the New Testament plainly teaches. Keeping God's commandments is the love of God, according to God; and Jesus said that to abide in His love we must keep His commandments (one of which, but obviously not the only one, if you don't take one or two scriptures out of the greater context of the rest of the New Testament, is to love one another).

Christians can protest the doctrine of conditional eternal security if they want to, and call it whatever they want to call it, but it's not going to change the truth of what the Bible actually teaches. Revisit the New Testament's teachings about this and make sure you know the truth about it for yourself, and don't let anyone who focuses on God's promises while dismissing their conditions, and who stands on selected scriptures taken out of context or misunderstood, give you false assurances of something that God Himself does not.

Spiritual strength and safety lies in knowing the truth.

Need to repent indeed. Without repentance there is no forgiveness.

People can be deceived if they walk in repentance they are working to be saved (another strategy of Satan).

"Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance" - Matthew 3:8

"but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea,
and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance." - Acts 26:20

And this is where most people are deceived and do not keep seeking.

"Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him." - Hebrews 10:38

"So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple." - Luke 14:33

"Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." - Matthew 7:14

And God is not mocked, those who do not repent will not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." - Galatians 6:7-8

Glory to God! Amen.
