I know of a born again Christian who committed suicide a couple of years ago, do you think he is in heaven and why? Love in Christ, Angels

I find peace in the knowledge that He who decides where every person will spend eternity is the soveriegn Lord. I trust His decisions completely, and seek His will in all things. My mother was born-again, but suffered from mental instability, and severe depression. There is a good chance that she was not in control of her mind, or even aware of what she was doing, but only the LORD knows this for certain.Does the LORD hold a person who cannot reason, accountable for their actions? Are those who are mentally challenged, incapable of reasoning who Christ is and their own need for salvation, judged as unbelievers? I personally believe that the LORD's grace and mercy prevail in such cases.

Timothy, I concur 100% with your post.  Special note....no where in Scripture does it support a loss of salvation because of suicide.

Only the Lord knows our mind, and this man who commited suicide was a very depressed. But he was also a very good singer, you can hear his songs on the radio, he had a family, maybe like your family Timothy and I know that your Mom and this man are both in heaven! God is good and we don't know why things happen, but someday we know, and that can be very soon! God Bless you both, Angels

In heaven we will be rewarded for what we do on earth for Jesus but we will not be judged anymore, only the people who die without Christ will pay for their sins.[####] Bob, I like you think this over, a person who dies in Christ will not be judged for their sins, that is all done when Jesus died on the cross.(that means for the sins of the past and the present. Angels I like you to think this over ...
