Will your car start if it is BROKEN?

Will running water flow through your house pipes if it is BROKEN?

Would you care to share about the times you were BROKEN by God so that He can get "it" or whatever it is done?

We must get out of the way for God to do His thing.

He breaks me in the shower and my tears mingle with Texas water and although it goes down the drain my tears, God said, is put in a bottle.

Some of us have jugs. Some have barrels.

How does God break YOU?

And don't YOU love it when He does it?

I want to be BROKEN. For when I am weak, He is STRONG!

Let the brethren of the Lord say SO!

Watchman Nee wrote a book titled “Release of the Spirit” which is about the breaking of the outer man. I thought it was quite a good book, if you were interested??

Much love in Christ, Not me

I fall on Jesus and his word breaks me in two. For his word is a sharp sword, and he is the word.

Hello follower.

Thank you for your courage to reply to this deeply personal request. Would you please elaborate on "I fall on Jesus" and how "His Word breaks me in two?" It is a little vague. I was hoping to get responses that describe a deeply personal aspect of prayer. Responses that can bring some aspect of the dynamic involved because although we go through pretty much the same experience when God breaks us, each believer has a unique relationship with their Lord although confined to Scripture and relating to supplication sometimes we are not the same when we get to a point in our brokenness that has an academic effect.

Thank you.

Of course.

Just as Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

The same way I find rest in Jesus, the same way I break.

I share in my mind his trials on the cross. With every whip he receives, my heart breaks and a stream of tears fall.

Apprehending his nobility to take my spot on the cross. Where I deserved to be. He innocent, took my place.

His word crushes me by it's power. It exposes the darkness in me, and makes it light. It shatters my pride and dignity, until I humble and break before him.
