  1. "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live." Make sure you really understand the difference between "from" and "through". The Father: from whom all things came. - we live for our Father. The Lord Jesus: We were made through him (in the image of Jesus). Thus why we are not Spirits (Father). We live through Jesus the mediator, in order to live for our Father. Jesus didn't make things through the Father. The Father made things, through Jesus. Jesus didn't make all things.
  2. When you read others passages, especially OT. Make sure you read in context. They can be referring to physical death. "13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." - The sea gave up the dead which were who? All sinners. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." - Death and hell which were the deliverers, were cast into the lake of fire (eternal punishment) 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." - Who is not found in the book of life? All sinners. Where do they go? Lake of fire (eternal punishment) Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Jesus said that, are you going to argue against Jesus' word?
  3. This is from the verse you quoted. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. That includes all who were judged. Which is every man. Again, what is the lake of fire? It's the place of eternal punishment
  4. Matthew 25:46 "These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
  5. Revelation 20:10 "And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
  6. It has to exist, or God isn't just. All those who raped, murdered, stole. They would be set free without a punishment. If Christians go to heaven, then where to sinners go? As to what hell is really like, only your imagination can tell.
  7. Read the scripture and you'll know.
  8. Paul was referring to holy days COMMANDED BY GOD. HALLOWEEN IS NOT INCLUSIVE IN THAT SCRIPTURE.
  9. Are you seriously going to twist this scripture to your own gain? 2 Peter 3:16 "Consider also that our Lord’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him. He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction." First we need to understand that Paul was confronting a heresy. False teachers had infiltrated the congregation in Colosse. These deceivers had influenced the Colossian Christians by introducing their own religious philosophy. This prompted Paul to warn the Colossians, “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of men” (Colossians 2:8). Humanly devised tradition—not the revealed instructions of God’s Word in the Bible—was the problem Paul was countering. Earlier Jesus had taken the Pharisees to task over the same kind of problem. They also had elevated their traditions to greater importance than God’s commandments (Mark 7:8-13). Paul tried to keep the Colossians focused on Christ as the head of the Church (Colossians 1:18; Colossians 2:10-19). But these false teachers were trying to persuade them to direct their worship toward angels (Colossians 2:18) and neglect their own bodies (Colossians 2:23). No such distorted ideas are taught anywhere in the Scriptures. When Paul wrote, “… Let no one judge you in food …” (Colossians 2:16), he wasn’t discussing what types of foods they should or should not eat. The Greek word brosis, translated “food,” refers not to the kinds of foods one should or should not eat, but to “the act of eating” (Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, 1985, “Food”). The point is that the deceivers disdained feasting—any type of eating and drinking for enjoyment. Paul instructed the Colossian Christians not to be influenced by these false teachers’ objections to eating, drinking and rejoicing on Sabbaths, feast days and new moons.
  10. It doesn't matter if we are okay with Thanksgiving. What matters is what God is okay with.
  11. Jesus says: "Why do you forsake the commandments of God, for the traditions of man". What are traditions of man? That's right...wordly holidays. The holidays celebrated in the Roman era, were celebrating false gods. Guess what, Paul does speak out against it: idolatry. There was no "Santy claus and friendly ghosts". Satan took every evil holiday and painted it as friendly. There were many sins Paul didn't list. But we were given a standard of moral perfection, by which we measure up to our lives. But again like I said, if God had an opinion on halloween, I can guarantee 1000000% he would be against it. What is a holiday. The true meaning is "holy day", meaning set apart. What was halloween set apart for? That's right, evil. Only difference is, all these evil things are 'cute' now. I truly hope you do research into ancient holidays, including Halloween and Christmas. Find their origins, and what they are founded on. Then come and tell us what you learned, that others can see a change of heart, and be changed themselves. Look into Samhain. Always remember what scripture says. A bad tree cannot produce good fruit. The root of the tree (halloween), is founded upon evil. Therefore, all association with the holiday, is evil. Only the enemy has made the skin of the fruit look pleasing, to lure in ignorant souls.
  12. By compromising with evil, you likewise partake with it. All sin, is sin.
  13. You can run from me the messenger. But God's word will grind you to powder, unless you first fall on him. The Bible has no verses directly proportional to smoking weed. Are you going to convince me it's okay? The Spirit convicts and it convicts many Christians on here. But you are not convicted? Reprove your faith. Don't harden your heart, because you don't like the truth. If the word of God I deliver to you, hurts you. Then let it be so and let yourself hurt.
  14. Of course. Just as Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." The same way I find rest in Jesus, the same way I break. I share in my mind his trials on the cross. With every whip he receives, my heart breaks and a stream of tears fall. Apprehending his nobility to take my spot on the cross. Where I deserved to be. He innocent, took my place. His word crushes me by it's power. It exposes the darkness in me, and makes it light. It shatters my pride and dignity, until I humble and break before him.
  15. God will judge you by his word, and you're avoiding his word for the sake of your traditions. You asked for verses, I gave them. These were paraphrased and contrasted in my original post. You were never going to believe these verses were relevant, even before you asked. You're expecting a verse like, "don't celebrate halloween or go to hell". If God had a list of specific things to avoid. I can guarantee 10000% halloween and any association thereof, would be on that list!! He would not say, "Halloween is bad, but give the kids candy and a little tract, so they will come to me". If you think he would, then you do not know God. Because you do not know his word.
  16. If they walk off, that's on them. You told them the truth boldly and planted the seed of God in their hearts. Not hiding the word in a piece of candy. I will gladly clean my house of tissue and eggs, if it means I'm doing the work of the Lord. If you are ashamed to teach the name of Jesus, Jesus will be ashamed of you in front of the Father(scripture). Like I said, the devil makes evil things seem cute. Children wearing superheors or robots, does not EXCUSE what they are celebrating. They go home and watch horror movies and filth. Of this, you're not rebuking them. You look at "how cute they are in their costumes", meanwhile they are headed farther from God. Rather, than teaching them about Jesus, their parents and likewise you, are sending them straight for damnation. Children should be praising the name of God, not dressing up in a disguised evil holiday, eating processed sugar. There is an army of demons behind Satan. He cannot simultaneously be everywhere, but he can plant a seed of evil, that will simultaneously corrupt many. And you're not doing even that. 1 Timothy 5:20 "As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear." You're making the teaching of Jesus, to automatically be "screaming and berating"? Oh you poor soul.
  17. I don't like it, and I don't do it. My job as a Christian, is to show the truth to others who are blinded by the world. Full of white sins. It's all a deception. Pleasing on the outside, dead on the inside. Demons clothing themselves in righteousness. So many are deceived and fall quickly. Turing off the narrow path, into the broad way to destruction.
  18. On a Christian forum, we expect others to know scripture. But for your sake I will gladly. You're not arguing with me. You're arguing against the word of God. Tread carefully. 2 John 1:9 "Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even greet him. Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds." 2 Corinthians 11:14 "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions." Matthew 7:18 "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." 1 John 5:19 "We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one." Mark 7:8 "You have disregarded the commandment of God to keep the tradition of men." Isaiah 5:20 "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." Luke 17:2 "It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble." 1 Corinthians 10:21 "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot partake in the table of the Lord and the table of demons too." 1 Thessalonians 5:22 "Abstain from all appearance of evil." Ephesians 5:6 "Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
  19. I fall on Jesus and his word breaks me in two. For his word is a sharp sword, and he is the word.
  20. Then you don't know scripture, because I paraphrased many verses.
  21. My opinions? I explained why its fact, using scripture. If a kid comes to your door, dressed as a demon, and you hand him candy. You partake in his celebration. If you so much as bid a sinner "God-speed, you partake in their sin". Then how much more is it partaking, by indirectly encouraging children to celebrate. You don't send them away rebuking them(Which we are told to do!!) You are sending them away, with what they came to get. You are sending them to hell faster. Instead of telling people not to celebrate and instead turn to Jesus. You do the opposite and hand out candy, thereby encouraging them to celebrate. But "it's ok, because I give them a little tract". That is the exact definition of drinking from the cup of God and cup of demons. By association, you partake. What's next, you'll go to a Satanist church, take part in their rituals. But it's ok because you handed out a little tract, and you don't actually celebrate in name. You have little clue what celebrating means. Any actions taken that are in association with any holiday, is in fact celebrating. The fact you don't, celebrate "all of it", doesn't change anything. If you think I'm wrong, let's examine: Scenario 1: You buy candy with pictures of jackolaterns, witch's, ghosts(demons), etc. Children come to your door dressed as zombies and monsters, you give them candy. (If you have themed decorations, you keep these companies in business). Result: The child thinks, "oh, this 'Christian' lady gave me candy, so it must be ok to celebrate". They eat your candy, throw out your card, and continue sinning. Buying these candies, you keep these non-christian companies in business, thus encouraging them to market based on this Satanic holiday. You indirectly encourage them to come next year, so they can get more candy. Scenario 2: You don't buy halloween themed candy. When they come to your door, you tell them you don't celebrate, and explain why. You explain why it's evil and Satanic, what the "super fun cute holiday" is based on. Which is, pagan, occult, satanism. Result: They go home and since you didn't give them candy, they are more focused on what you said. Children are molded easily and don't understand what they're doing. They do it, because their friends do it, because their parents teach them. You are not helping the cause, and the opposite rather. You keep Halloween running and therefore, you are responsible for it's celebration. The company selling halloween themed candy and decorations, lose just a little bit more profit. Not gain. Not only that, it's better a millstone is hung on your neck, and you were cast into the depth of the sea. Whoever causes a little one to stumble, gets likewise. Your personal conviction and upbringing, doesn't change what God commands.
  22. Explain to us, how what I said was wrong.
  23. Could be. Looks kind of ominous. I wouldn't keep it personally.
  24. There's nothing good about Halloween. A few centuries ago, it would be considered lawless to celebrate, even for non-believers!! The central question is, what's Halloween based on. The answer: evil. Therefore, every association you have with it, as simple as handing out candy, is likewise partaking in the Devil's holiday. Yes, devil's. Scripture makes this clear, if you so much as bid a sinner godspeed, you likewise partake in their sin. A quick example: watching someone get robbed, and not taking any actions. You help the thief get away, and thus partake in his theft. Just remember, Satan will never jump out and say "worship me". He is a master at making evil things seem cute. To lure in your children, to slowly corrupt them. One step at a time. Ex, you allow your children to watch Starwars, then it's "only a little worse" to let them watch Harry Potter. Then "only a little worse" to let them watch a satanic horror movie. Likewise this applies for everything. Don't ask whether something is bad. Ask whether it's good. Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God. Halloween is founded in evil roots, therefore it can only produce evil. An evil tree can't bear intrinsically good fruit. Only nice looking fruit, filled with maggots and mold. If you celebrate Halloween in any shape or form, you are drinking from the cup of demons. Halloween is not biblical, in fact the opposite, scripture absolutely admonishes it. Halloween is of this world, made by man and adorned by sinners. If you are in Christ, you can't be of the world. The people who say, "there's nothing wrong with it, it's just fun and cute". Don't listen to them, they will corrupt you, as they will corrupt their own children to hell. The same are walking in sin, excusing white-sin here and there. These are the same, who go to church on Sunday, then come home and watch horror movies, tv shows with nudity/sex, play games involving witchcraft/sorcery, etc. They hold onto their "cute and fun sin", so tightly. It's easier to convince them to stay home, instead of going to church or reading scripture. Instead they will make every excuse to why Halloween is good. Nominal liberal 'Christian' foolishness appropriate for damnation.
  25. We have 206 bones in the body. God chose one. Why the rib? When correctly removed, the rib is the only bone in the body that can regenerate into a full new bone. Only our God would know that. Before science, before man made fire, melted steel, or added 2+2. Amen.
