My take: While its not "evil" it is pretty annoying. Spotify playlists are a good option.

My take: While its not "evil" it is pretty annoying. Spotify playlists are a good option. There are three stations in my city that do that. The thing is, there is a limited selection of songs, both Christian and secular and what bothers me is that they don't even play the full gamut of all possible Christmas songs. They play like 6 versions of "White Christmas" and several versions of "Winter Wonderland, and I am sorry, but I absolutely cannot stand and will not listen to Wham's "Last Christmas I gave you my heart." The Beatles' Christmas song is also overplayed. I remember when Trans-Siberian Railroad came out with their album back in the late 90s or early 2000s and every third song was "Christmas in Sarajevo." I remember when Newsong came out with their Christmas hit, "Christmas Shoes" and every station overplayed it until it became trite. I think stations should just play their regular stuff and give us a smattering of Christmas music the songs we grew up and not the modern pop junk. And only Bing Crosby can sing "White Christmas." That needs to be an amendment to our Constitution or at least a bill signed into law.

Spotify is the only thing running around here, and my playlists are Christmas Music Free (tm). Even SiriusXM got into the act on several channels I listen to regularly. It gets old very fast. And I also don't like Christmas stuff in stores in October!

Bah Humbug? I'm probably dating myself here, but I remember Catholic school classrooms with the real slate chalk boards. My brother and I always seemed be sitting next to one of them going through school. Fingernails worked great on those . . .
