Guest Fluffy the Cactus
Man uses church money to buy internet porn. Litigation, eternal fire to ensue Idiot DALTON, Ga. (AP) A Chatsworth man has been charged with using a church's banking information to buy Internet porn. Robbie Lee Ritchie was indicted Thursday by a Murray County grand jury on 12 counts of financial identity fraud. Authorities say Ritchie used a bank account number belonging to Central Church of Christ in Dalton to access pornography Web sites numerous times last summer. Ritchie was in the Murray County Jail yesterday on a 25-thousand-dollar bond. The church did NOT respond to questions from The Daily Citizen newspaper in Dalton. It was unclear whether Ritchie is a member of the church. If convicted, Ritchie could face one to ten years in prison on each count and a fine up to 100-thousand-doll I hope this doesn't get deleted. I posted this because I think it really makes you think about what can happen, even in a church. Granted, the *gentleman* involved in this may not have been involved with the church, but it is, at the very least, a reminder that identity theft and fraud can affect more than just an individual. ??? I read a survey somewhere about pastors being hooked on Internet porn and it was a shocking survey. However before we start wagging the fingers, David not only did pornography by looking at Bathsheba taking her bath, he lusted after her, committed adultery with her and then had her husband killed. If God can forgive David and call him a man after His own heart, He can this man also if he repents. We need to lift up in prayer people like this. I agree, but would a trip out behind the woodshed be out of line along with that? Every time I think I've seen the worst or dumbest thing someone can do, I am proven wrong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh I'm not saying he should get off scott free! There is a penalty for sin, legal and spiritual, and we must pay the price-even David paid a hefty spiritual price!

Guest Fluffy the Cactus
Yeah, or he's simply human and fallible like the rest of us. I think that taking him "out behind the tool shed" would be a bit 1400-ish, and after all, that's why we have the court systems. What do you think inmates do to each other in prisons? Heh heh heh... ???

If he was sent to a maximum security prison, then all bets are off. Edited May 23, 2005 by traveller
Guest Fluffy the Cactus
Prison is prison, though, and you'd be surprised what goes on at "minimum" security prisons. Just because it's "minimum" security doesn't mean that it's a safe place to be... ???

He got too many if anything. Abuse breeds more abuse. I agree with Reb on this one. This man's problem - among other things - is a lack of discipline. Punishment, done correctly, is meant to teach you that certain behavior is wrong and has consequences to your comfort and happiness. Do you have a problem with teaching right from wrong?
