Guest Posted February 11, 2019 Share Posted February 11, 2019 Hi I am disillusioned with my church housegroup. They are elderly, do not meet regularly and are simply not enough for me. I am truly in need of new more deep christian believers to form a small local study group. The aim is for bible study, prayer, fellowship and mutual encouragement. No matter about denominations. I happen to be church of England. But the important thing is love for Jesus Christ and a willingness to take part in open discussion of the Bible. Thinking of 1 afternoon a week. A suitable safe quiet venue. In the interests of total safety and respectability, i prefer ladies only but wonder if that is ok? My husband is not yet christian so i cannot disappear to a group of strangers each week. Can i ask on this forum who lives nearby? Only to say Lichfield/Walsall area in west midlands. I am scared. Never set up a group before. But i am being led to do this. My heart and soul are hungry for meeting fellow deep lovers of Christ our Lord to help develop each other to lesrn the Word of God. I feel let down by my own church and feel i am not in tune with them. I want no politics, just pure Bible study. I would of course join any group already set up in my area but otherwise the only option is set one up myself. I want it small. Perhaps 6 ladies. Any advice welcome. Thanks.
