Rev 13:5The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months. 6He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast

Wow...the apostles whom walked with Jesus, were chosen by Jesus missed something?  And that "something" that they missed has just been discovered by a chosen enlightened few?

Love and Blessings,

Angel

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I couldn't of said it better.

That has the makings of a new cult because that's how they all start.

Good revelation Angel. :brightidea:

I never said that...I said they obviously missed something from God that they should have learned.

How is it God protected the 3 Hebrew children from certain death in the firey furnace, but He couldn't do anything about some of the Apostles?

This doesn't add up, because there's more to this than what you're seeing.

What about the millions of Christians that are suffering right now and being put to death. Would you have the (edit) fortitude to tell a five year old Chinese girl that her mom died because she didn't have enough faith in Jesus? Would you have the gaul to tell a Sudanese who is about to be beheaded for Jesus Christ that he should have had more faith that God would stop it? Would you be so pompous in talking to an Iranian man who lost his wife because she believed in Christ?

You say these things now because you have the freedom to. If that freedom were removed either you would be shown to not be a Christian or your belief would crumble quickly. 60% of the world's proclaimed Christians live in areas where persecution occurs. You're telling me that the entire first and second century church, along with the apostles and Jesus Himself all died because they lacked faith. They died because they refused to proclaim the power of God? What absurd theology are you following?

As for Daniel's friends, that's one example. Just one.

When persecution comes, you decide if it is going to be unto death...not God! And if you haven't decided, then the devil will decide for you! Most Christians are taught that God decides these things and our decisions made no difference...this has been a cleaver trick of the devil to have Christian ministers tell their people this...it has been a satanic stroke of genius!

What better way to get to kill Christians than to have God's own ministers get up and preach that God causes all things to happen that happen, and there's nothing you can do about it if God decides to kill you...or allow the devil to kill you!

God does not violate His own command of "thou shall not murder"

(He does kill is He has to when protecting His people, but He NEVER murders anyone!)

Does God's sovereignty mean nothing to you?

That has the makings of a new cult because that's how they all start.

Generally I don't sway to extremes and say, "That is a relgion of Satan" or anything like that, but on this point I couldn't agree more. What he is teaching is nothing less than heresy and is a cult teaching.

Do YOU have as much faith as these 3 Hebrew children ? Have you ever looked at what they said ?

Daniel 3:16-18

16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.

17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king.

18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up

See, they never expected anything from God- they stated that they would serve Him and worship Him regardless of whether God saved them or not. That is faith my friend!

Be blessed,

Tim

The other aposltes died because they sinned?

I never said that...I said they obviously missed something from God that they should have learned.

This doesn't add up, because there's more to this than what you're seeing.

What about when Jesus tells us to pray for those that persecute us? What about when He tells us to endure persecution? Why does He speak so much about it if we aren't suppose to go through it?

Praying for those that persecute you is part of staying in love... you always need to back away and allow God to have His vengence...it's His job to pay back evil to those that attack you (2 Thessalonians 1:6)

(He does kill is He has to when protecting His people, but He NEVER murders anyone!)

The only persecution that we are called to "go through" and put up with is:

1) the world is going to hate us, because they hate Jesus

2) we are to resist the things Jesus suffered for us (otherwise His suffering was in vain)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

This is a bunch of foolishness... There are LOTS of people God did not protect. God did not protect the prophet Isaiah from being sawed in half, he did not protect that prophets that He sent to Israel from being stoned to death. What about Paul? Look at all that he suffered for the gospel. He was beaten, flogged, shipwrecked, stoned, imprisoned, starved, and everything else because of the gospel. If Paul were alive today, your pathetic little prosperity cult would turn your nose up at the greatest New Testament missionary in the world. Only demonstrates that the garbage you spew on our boards is not of God, but of the "god" of this world.

The problem is that you have claimed before that the only suffering that we should face is persecution for Christ. NOW your saying that the Apostles who suffered and died as a result of persecution did so because they missed out on something??? I see a grave contradiction in the nonsense you proffer.

The saddest thing here, is that given the end times, what will happen to Rockrz when he faces real persecution? Will his faith cave in because he isnt "supposed" to suffer? Will he end up falling away because he realizes he "lacks" the "faith" needed to make all that persecution stuff go away?

Im reminded of the parable of the sower.

Matthew 13

18 Therefore hear the parable of the sower.

19 When anyone hears the Word of the kingdom and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown by the wayside.

20 But that which was sown on the stony places is this: he who hears the Word and immediately receives it with joy.

21 But he has no root in himself, and is temporary. For when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, he immediately stumbles.

22 And that sown into the thorns is this: he who hears the Word; and the anxiety of this world, and the deceit of riches, choke the Word, and he becomes unfruitful.

23 But that sown on the good ground is this: he who hears the Word and understands; who also bears fruit and produces one truly a hundredfold; and one sixty; and one thirty.

Now Im fairly sure that Rockrz will claim he is in the last group because his false beliefs will claim that producing 100 fold means getting money. Producing 100 fold means bearing fruit of the kingdom, winning souls, encouraging believers, things like that. It has never ever meant wealth. Verse 22 proves that it doesnt mean wealth.

I fear for you Rockrz. Over and over again, we are told that we will face adversity. As of now, you are not. The devil knows you pose no threat to him. You win no souls. You are so caught up in the lies of the devil that he doesnt need to torment you. When real persecution comes, how will your faith hold up. When the mark comes, will you resist it? Or will you take it in your greed? Truly I fear for you.

I would say you've been a christian for maybe 10 years. You probably got saved through the WOF ministry........which is fine, I did to......and your finding it very hard to let go. So when your backed into a corner, you hurl insults.

We have differing opinions on the rapture within the people of this board.......so I'm not going there......it's been covered alot.

God has not changed! What He did then, He is doing now.

There are plenty of people, daily, that are protected from death in all these foreign lands you mention...and some die. It's not God's fault or His will that any die.

Is 57: 1 The righteous perish,

and no one ponders it in his heart;

devout men are taken away,

and no one understands

that the righteous are taken away

to be spared from evil.

2 Those who walk uprightly

enter into peace;

they find rest as they lie in death.

Who is it that takes them away to be spared from evil?

It doesn't matter how much WOF want to try and manipulate God, his will and purpose will be done.

Read my sig.........it's the scripture on Love :brightidea:

Hey, bro... you missed that part about them declaring what was going to happen to them...

the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us from your hand

And, you didn't know Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were using the word of faith, did you??? God backed them up, didn't He?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

But...but.....they acknowledged that God might not necessarily save them- yes, He did, but they never expected Him to- and KNOWING that [ He might choose not to ], they STILL chose to have faith in Him :brightidea:

God bless,

Tim
