“Don’t worry about anything;

instead, pray about everything;

tell God your needs,

and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.

If you do this, you will experience God’s peace,

which is far more wonderful

than the human mind can understand.”

Philippians 4:6-7

Anxiety / worry are things we all experience.

But they need not control our lives or our thinking.

God is ever-present in us…just one prayer away at all times.

Anon.

A biblical command not to say 'God  bless so and so' but rather to actually ask God to do something, heal them, enable them to face there troubles, give patience, strength etc etc.

If one cannot say what you want God to do say nothing.

Faith is to fear what dark is to light.

Faith is to fear, what wrong is to right.

Faith is to fear, what day is to night.

Faith is to fear, what cold is to hot.

Worry is fear, and its the opposite of faith.

Jesus said.. "why do you worry, where is your FAITH:"

Worry has never solved a problem, and never will.

Whatever it is that worries you, stop worrying.   Instead face the problem knowing that "all things work together for good to those who are born again, who love God, "

Listen, if you are sick, God wants to heal you, and Jesus died to prove that this is True.    "by Jesus's wounds, you were healed".

If you are dying, (we all are dying:).... then look forward to meeting Jesus and living where there is no more sorrow, no more pain, and the Love of God that meets you in Heaven,  will feel like the sun is shining into your heart, forever.

If you are facing what you can't deal with, then go ahead and face it anyway.   No matter what happens, God will resolve it for your benefit in the end, once you face the problem.

Sometimes people can have a strong faith in God and worry can still creep in. We then have God to give our worries to.

Very true!

We really aren't the "captain of our own ship".

Turning everything over to God is the ONLY answer.

Wow! You are "right on"!

Your reply causes me to revise my approach in praying for others.

Thanks!

I agreed with you a little while ago, however...

Romans 8:26 says this: " In the same way, the Spirit also helps us in our weakness,

for we don't know how to pray as we should. But the Spirit himself intercedes with groans too deep for words,..."
Romans 8:26 (ISV)

Based on that verse, yes, we should say nothing, having confidence will be interceding in our behalf.

Based on that verse we should try to say something but be for we do see if we can find out what we should be praying for.

I appreciate your response. But our knowledge is limited. We can only pray about that which we see and hear. But God is unlimited. So allowing Him the opportunity to "bless" others in the way HE CHOOSES seems to be appropriate.
