There are many who look down on me for my hobbies-most of which involve firearms. But I don't really care lol. Their loss, not mine.

So long as it's a man lying with a woman it's okay, though... but not really because such a thing can be sinful. Right? Or do you approve of fornication and adultery because those aren't abominations?

Fornication and adultery are sins.

You evaded answering the question, @johnthebaptist. Goodnight, my fine fellow! :047:

No, I didn't. You asked me if I had sinned. I said we had all sinned.

Why would I care if it's confirmed in the New Covenant?

So... you CAN'T confirm it.

Point being... the Old Covenant Law was to drive mankind to New Covenant Grace

BECAUSE we cannot keep the Old Covenant Law.

James 2:10 (AV)
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Isaiah 64:6 (AV)
6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

1 Kings 8:46 (AV)
46 If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

Romans 3:23 (AV)
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Galatians 3:24–25 (AV)
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Grace to all in Christ. And even those not in Christ we no longer stone or imprison. How many unwed parents, divorcees, adulterers, cheats,  drunkards and gluttons would be in our prisons or on death row (according to Levitical Law) today if it were not for Grace?

Ah, but homosexuality... THAT'S the unpardonable sin!

That's how we treat it.

And instead of trying to steer homosexuals away from homosexuality the same way we try to steer people away from being unwed parents, divorcees, adulterers, cheats,  drunkards and gluttons would be in our prisons or on death row (according to Levitical Law)... we single them out and treat them as if they cannot be saved. Then we encourage their rejection of the Gospel by claiming they cannot be saved UNLESS they are no longer homosexual. Then we gather in groups and rally around our hatred of them and tell each other how correct they are to hate homosexuals. We step over our own sins according to Levitical Law (some of which I listed) to bludgeon homosexuals with Levitical Law. In a time when we should be preaching and teaching the love of Jesus Christ and the Grace we all live under and now enjoy the freedom of.

Is homosexuality a sin?

Yes.

So is lust (heterosexual or homosexual), adultery, serial polygamy (divorce and remarriage), fornication (sex outside of marriage), cheating on your taxes, not doing the ministry God calls each and every Christian to do... shall I go on?

The list is long and it is damning to each and every one of us!

Should we not rather show all people the LOVE of Jesus Christ?

He loved them and us enough to die for us all.

1 Timothy 4:10 / 1 John 2:2.

He died for all. All are not saved because not all believe (John 3:18).

To die for any of us he had to die for all of us. To give us the opportunity to be saved.

Faith activates this prepaid forgiveness in our individual accounts.

Shouldn't we rather be encouraging everyone lovingly to activate that faith in their lives?

Did you come to Christ by people wielding signs that they hate you or your kind? Or by

gathering in groups to slap one another on the back about how they hate you and your kind?

That must've been some conversion on your part if it was...

I am not advocating homosexuality or adultery or fornication or murder or lying or any of it.

I am saying we must stop the humanist approach to the Gospel (which includes selectively bringing

Old Testament Law into New Testament Grace when it suits our humanist causes).

In Leviticus 18:22 the Lord said it is an abomination for a man to lie with another man as he would with a woman. The Lord always told the truth. It is an abomination.

Deep in the South of the

OLD Testament...

The Law friend.

The Law.

The one that said stone people

for these sins and others.

Are you saying we should keep the Law?

OR

do you yet realize we are under Grace by some 1900+ years now?

The Lord was talking to the Jews. Not all of his requirements pertained to Christians, I don't think. However, he said homosexuality is an abomination. An abomination is an abomination no matter who the audience, isn't it?

I like your screen name johnthebaptist!

It was my screen name in my old AOL days in the 1990's.

My current screen name JohnD is short for JohnDBaptiste

modeling my ministry to Christ as one who preaches and calls

for humanity to turn away from the traditions of men to Christ

the real Jesus rather than Churchianity...

Chiefest among the ministries of the original John the Baptist was

to get Israel to turn away from the Law and to Christ the bringer of Grace.

It is my sincere hope that you see how important this is in keeping with

your own screen namesake.

Be blessed!

Galatians 3:24–28 (NIV84)
24 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.
25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.
26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,
27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
