When your pastor asked you to put yourself in a position to get really sick and maybe even die just to go to church he is just wrong.     When the devil tried to talk Jesus in jumping off the temple wall and expect God to not let him get hurt, he told the devil that we should not tempt God....    I don't see much of any difference in that we know there is a danger here and we are pushing things expecting God to keep us from harm....    That's putting God to the test and not even Jesus would do that.       It's disturbing that they would do this...
