Maybe that is why I visit the forums. Maybe you can answer a question for me. The Jews did not have the Holy Spirit living in them. Through all their wanderings and backslidings and reconciliations, they did not have God in them. God was with them, in the temple. He fed them and spoke to them through a chosen leader or a priest or a judge. Considering the sin that rules our flesh until we are set free by Jesus, how could they remain faithful without the indwelling Holy Spirit? What he meant is that they did not receive the message of the good news that Yeshua is their Messiah, and thus opposed that message.
