The  Water  Of  Life

 

 

Ho, every one that thirsteth  The call goes out to everyone that thirsts for righteousness.

 

come ye to the waters  Come to the fountain of living waters: Jesus Christ.

 

and he that hath no money  Salvation is freely offered through Jesus Christ.

 

come ye, buy, and eat  Consume knowledge of the bread of life: Jesus Christ.

 

yea, come, buy wine and milk  Gladden the heart and grow in Jesus Christ.

 

without money and without price  Paid in full by Jesus Christ.

 

Isa.55:1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

 

the sure mercies of David = the Davidic covenant (II Sam.7:8-16).

 

 

 

I will make an everlasting covenant with you  The redemption of sinners by Jesus Christ.

 

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

 

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

 

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

 

Spirit = Greek Pneuma.

the Holy Ghost. with no articles = the gift given by God to believers.

Ghost = Greek Pneuma = Spirit.

 

 

 

The Third Trumpet sounds  Satan pollutes the water of life with bitterness.

 

Rev.8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

 

many men died of the waters = by God many will be considered spiritually dead.

 

 

 

the eternal state of glory  Behold I make all things new.

 

Rev.21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

 

Rev.22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

 

Rev.22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
