Saw this quote by George Washington and the lovely painting.    Thought you all might like to see it.   Feel free to add any inspiring quotes by others.

I don't believe I have enough defensive arms in case the Democrats take the White House since they don't support my self defense rights.

A beautiful portraiture. I hope this truly expressed the heart of our first president. Washington, Jefferson, Hancock, Franklin, and countless others of our nation's first leaders and spokespersons were also Freemasons, as we know. Well, so was my uncle, but he was also a member of the CoC = Church of Christ. Many of guys don't realize the seriousness of being a Mason and the pledge they make before the "Worshipful Master" = (Grand Poobah) or whomever the leader of this group of dudes are. Then if they pursue this, can become Shriners and can wear a Turkish fez* and drive around in those funny little miniature cars in the parades. What fun!

  1. Fez* - Wikipedia

The Fez* (Turkish: fes), also called Tarboosh (Arabic: طربوش‎, romanized: ṭarbūš, derived from Persian: سرپوش‎, romanized: sarpuš, lit. 'cap'), is a felt headdress in the shape of a short cylindrical peakless hat, usually red, and sometimes with a tassel attached to the top. The name "Fez" refers to the Moroccan city of Fez (capital of the Kingdom of Morocco until 1927), where the dye to colour the hat was extracted from crimson berries. The modern fez owes much of its popularity to the Ottoman era.

I believe that I learned about George Washington a long time ago when I was a child and still in school, but he was our very first president, wasn't he?

Did you really not know George Washington was our first president?  If you didn't, it is not your fault, but our educational system.
