Could you be a little more specific? That could cover a lot of ground.

Yes, that is the point, that there is a lot to be said about the similarities and differences.

For similarities, the texts both show Magog, a battle/war, Israel and by implication Jerusalem, and a divine interference.

For differences, the weapons (assumed), the terrain of mountains verses the breadth (broad plain ESV), the Rev 20 listing of Magog and not other nations as in Ezekiel, the aftermath or result of the conflicts, and there is no resurrection shown in Ezek.

The differences are significant, especially the resurrection  of Rev 20.

-----

Are the differences enough to conclude that they are different events?

That maybe the events of Ezek 38-39 are past, but are a prophetic image of a future event? Not duplicated in every detail, but an "image" meant to give some insight to a future event?

OK, I'm starting to see a pattern here. By chance are you a 'preterist'?

I'm just asking questions that should be answered. I'm asking you to say what you believe the scriptures say.

I'm not telling you what to believe, I'm asking you to expand on what you believe.

The questions are not hard to answer, but some people find it hard to answer them because the answers contradict what they have accepted as truth.

---

I don't believe that I will fit into a labeled box.

We have to have a mind that is open to revelations, and not closed because something is just different.

We need to find the end of the matter, pursue to answers, even though the answers are not as we thought.

You want to know the truth? Go forward, pass beyond what you know now, press on.

We are just talking about things. What is a discussion if everybody just agrees with each other?

Revelation 20:7 (KJV) And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

So, Satan has already been or about to be loosed after 1,000 years confinement?

Giving up already?

Well,

I don't have a gun, only a Bible.
