"Who was Jesus?" Jesus isn't a was, he is an "IS" Actually he is an I AM, not a I WAS. According to John, Jesus existed in for form of God before he sat that aside and entered our world as a man. According to John Jesu in this precious state was actually the active entity that created the universe. All things come from the Father, but they came/come through Jesus in whatever state he is in. Jesus tells us that no human has ever seen the Father, but many people actually saw Jehovah (the Old Testament God of Israel). When the Jews questioned him about knowing Abraham, he told them that before Abraham was "I AM". He is the God Moses knew and saw. And after his death on the cross, he was given all the glory he had before he became a man. Like the Father he has always been and will always be. Who is Jesus to me..... He is the active creator of the universe, He is what I consider God/god along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, he is my Lord, my Savior, my spiritual brother and my friend.
