It is not 0% here neither.  That is a bunch of nonsense. 18,991 in my state alone have died as of today's date.

Well, maybe 6% of that according to the CDC.  That would be about 1139 that died from the actual disease in your state, and not those with co-morbidities.

The answer, by the way, is:  0.01%

So, less than zero percent died in the whole USA.

We are not going to agree, so I will wish you a good evening.   God Bless.

t's 0% in the USA (meaning just 30,000 people died).

It is not just...30,000 people if one of them 30,000 happens to be you. Or your grandma or grandpa. Or you brother or sister. Mother or father. Son or daughter. The list goes on.

can be easily checked at the CDCs own site.

hi sparks

I have tried to search for more info online.

But I am puzzled.

In my country.. when daily deaths are announced by the authorities here.. usually there is some info given on each person who died (except names etc).. The info include things such as age and underlying factors such as diabetes or hypertension (high blood pressure) etc etc..

Even though many of those who died might have had underlying factors.. their deaths were still caused by covid....The underlying factors just means that they were more susceptible to dying from the covid..  If they had not been infected with the coronavirus often they likely would still be alive today.  Or in other words.. they died because of covid....  :(

So I am puzzled.. doesn't the Usa also count deaths the same way?

*ps.. sorry for posting only part of the quote / sentence

Here in the USA, things have gotten pretty silly with Covid 19 claims.

For example, when a guy crashed his motorcycle (or car) into a highway bridge support and died on impact, it was claimed to be Covid 19 that killed him.  I think this claim was more likely due to the huge amount of money paid out to Hospitals for Covid 19 patients.

When someone has cancer, emphysema, is a survivor of 3 heart attacks, has diabetes, liver disease, has COPD, and happened to have died at 104 years old, I seriously doubt Covid was much of a factor.  Apparently the CDC felt the same way, and adjusted their numbers to show people who died of Covid 19, alone, and the numbers turned out to be very low.

It's sad that anyone dies, but if the hysteria about Covid 19 was caused by the media misreporting figures, shouldn't that end?

Ok thanks..  But I am still puzzled?  Did the media misreport the figures.. or did the media generally report it accurately..  but some folk perhaps might have misunderstood what the new data on the cdc website actually meant?

I am asking partly because if the case fatality rate in the Usa really is 0.01%.. that seems very unusual to me personally.. because I think for most countries in the world the figure is much much higher than that? :o

So why would the figure for the Usa be so extremely or unusually low?  I don't get it?

Sorry for my many questions.  Thanks.

ps  I came across this website (John Hopkins University) which has info on country by country figures.  Perhaps it might help?  :noidea

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality

Thanks again!

Sorry that you are not understanding this, but it has reached the point that I would be repeating myself.  You can look up the CDC raw numbers and you can do some rudimentary math, or not.

I noticed you chose to believe media rather than doctors who have the facts in this video, so I don't think you will believe the truth, no matter who presents it.

The Brazilian variant just ripped through the Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team and knocked out 19 players and coaching staff, not including family members. This variant is reportedly harder on young people than the original. As you can imagine these are young, extremely fit men and were being tested daily.

The variants are causing the large third wave spike out here.

None yet. Most should recover.

That's good to hear.

It makes my earlier point, though.
