What did they do? (I'm almost afraid to ask) I never heard of them. WOF has lots of wrong teaching in it though.

Hi Grace, they abuse children and adults all the time to get demons out, its absolutely a cult, I never heard of them either, but they are in North Carolina, they showed a baby who they were going to bring in submission because it cried during the sermon. (by spanking)

Talk to you later, I have to go...

I can't understand for the life of me why people attach themselves to these cults. The expert opinions don't jibe with me.

Cults initially give a sense of "belonging" according to a documentary film called, "Gods of the New Age"...

The cult leaders act as preditors, focusing on needy and hurting individuals who are most vulnerable. They offer a sense of belonging...an extended family of sorts...

People with difficulty coping; individuals from disjointed or dysfunctional home environments are prime targets.

It's the "name-it-and-claim-it" crowd. Word of Faith - prosperity doctrine.

The church I used to attend was WOF...name it and claim like cats said...here are a few of the beliefs they taught...

Seed is money and when you sow it into the church God will give you back 10 times what you sowed....if you give 10.00 God will give you a 100.00

If you want that new house then claim it...claim it as yours and keep repeating this claim over and over everywhere you go and God will make sure you get it....and this belief was supposed to be used for everything...if you needed money say you already have a 100.00 and soon you will.

If you have a headache and someone can see it...say no I don't have a headache...cuz if you admit to having one then you've defeated the power of words....claim you don't and it will go away....this was supposed to work for all sickness.

Power is in the tounge...they claimed that our tounge was as powerful as God...we just had to speak forth.

Gee that is all I can remember for now...if I remember more that I think will help I will post them too. Hope this helps be joyful. :t2:

Love and Blesssings

Angel H.

Wow!! I guess you don't have to be a very smart person to know how wrong that is! It almost makes me cringe just reading this post!

I would like to quote one of our fellow Christians on this board:

"All Praise the Ancient of Days!!"

Be Blessed!!

By His Blood;
