Matt 3:11.....He Will baptize you with Holy Spirit and fire. As fulfillment of the above prophecy by John the Baptist, Jesus claimed the first church in Jerusalem by sending them Holy Spirit on Pentecost Day. Its God who claimed and sealed the first church not otherwise. Holy Spirit did not baptize the Theologian priests and scholar pharisees who knew verses well and claimed God and whatsoever faith. Jesus did not claim these smart kind of parroting verses. Christians are competing with the world to seek job, wealth, food, beautiful home, education, recreation, health facility, clothing, security means, transport etc. Are we still have time to seek Holy Spirit ? The door shall be closed soon at the fullness of gentiles when the Restrainer is removed. You need to ask Jesus not any pastors as there are many fake and imposters. Are we even Worthy. We receive the Holy Spirit the moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior. All who believe in Jesus Christ instantaneously receive the Holy Spirit. The bible says that a person can not be a believer in Jesus Christ without the Holy Spirit in their life. John 6 : 28, 29 Therefore they said to Him, “What are we to do, so that we may accomplish the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” 1 Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? There is no command in Scripture to seek for the Holy Spirit, or to pray so he can be received. If the Holy Spirit were given apart from salvation, we would expect the bible to give the requirements of his reception. Cornelius and his entire household was not at Pentecost, but upon hearing the gospel preached in his home, the Holy Spirit was given to him and all who were present in his home. 1 1

Sonship Through the Spirit 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba,[e] Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

The same thing like asking water baptism by pastors but directly to God. Isnt it ? Edited January 16, 2022 by R. Hartono
