Perhaps. I have noticed that the Jews have been persecuted throughout history and wondered if it is because they denied Christ.

Satan has a way of making any kind of excuse to create hatred!  You simply have to understand that the Jewish people ... is God's test to the church!

Most people though are not passing the test!

The Jewish people are blinded for a season ... but God has a plan for them ... and we should do our duty in participating in His plan!  As a Gentile, I'm called to provoke them to jealousy ... :)

Not all Jewish people are blinded, there are those that believe and accept the Son of God, just as many Arabs do.

So true ... as you get to know me, I spent 20 years in Israel as a pastor.  :)

@MonicaWife  While the numbers in Ukraine as small that consider themselves neo-nazis ... the last election the party that represented them accumulated about 2% of the vote, not enough for them to participate in the government.  But in a country of 40 million ... 2% would mean 800,000 neo-nazis!  It's not insignificant!

May we continue to pray for the Jewish people, and for those who are trying to reach them by the Gospel of Messiah!

Persecution of the Jews over the centuries is due to many things. I think the idea of "Christ killers" was certainly an impetus in the past (not so much in the early church). Throughout the Middle Ages in Europe, the Jews generally kept to their own and that naturally breeds an "otherness" in the minds of the now-dominantly Christian population. Also, during this time, it was forbidden for a Christian to charge interest on a loan, so the Jews were often the early source of lending. They, as a community, tended to prosper against the dominant population and this also led to envy, suspicion and mistrust.

When things go bad, people need someone to blame and minority groups seem to always be targeted. Jews in Europe were a natural target, ultimately culminating in the Holocaust.
