Short of documenting Hebrew word meanings, usage, and the context in Genesis, animals with the breath of life also have souls. Animal souls are not redeemable, as far as I know.

Again, the question is, how much can our DNA be altered before we cease to be fully human? Is altered DNA from our kind redeemable?

I am not well versed in genetics, but if I recall, we share 90% plus of our DNA code will most living creatures. Science does not know what most DNA does or is for, calling it junk DNA. This generation will see how all this turns out.

If you look at DNA as I do, a programming language, the code percentage isn't really that important. I am a fan of Dr. Stephen C. Meyer's outlook on DNA. If DNA is just a programming language, it's no different than all the programs written in C, C++, or any other. We share 60% of our DNA with a banana, 97% with a chimpanzee, 60% with a fruit fly, and 60% with a chicken. Interesting relatives.

We have been talking about the Spirit and Soul from a Hebrew viewpoint, but does that mean from a scientific point of view? If human cloning is ever perfected, will the clone have a full measure of God's breath forming the soul and when does the Spirit arrive, if ever, in the process? If there are multiple clones, will each be unique? What say you?

Identical twins  - one is a clone of the other, literally and naturally.  They both have souls.

Do they both have unique spirits and unique souls?

Clarified question.

Yes.

So with IVF, is it the same thing?

Not exactly the same, but very similar.

In both cases, fertilization of an egg cell takes place outside the body.

In IVF, a sperm/egg are put together outside the body.

In cloning, the contents of an already fertilized cell [could be blood, skin, or hair cell etc] are removed and put into an emptied out egg cell.

Only God is in charge of whether or not these cells carry out to term.  Ergo, if they do, there are souls/spirits.

So one twin inserts a Soul and/or Spirit into the other?

No. God does that.

What does it mean to be 100% human? Christ died for humanity; what about hybrids?

·         Are there restrictions on who is eligible for redemption (think MOB)? They take something irreversible; we could even call it an unpardonable sin.

These are interesting theological questions to contemplate.

That's an interesting one, about 50% is 100% human technically we are hybrids already.
