Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 1 Timothy 1:4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.  What I find Biblically dubious is this all-too-common Christian preoccupation with what God is doing through others. Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.
