Some people believe the world is destroyed on the day of the Lord. But if one pays close attention to scripture you can learn exactly what part of the earth is destroyed and by who .

But only if you pay attention.

Daniel 11

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

12 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Sounds a lot like Rev 12:12-17   and the time of refining of Zech 13:8-9

and Matt 24:15-19 - So when you see standing in the holy place, the A/D spoken of bu the Prophet Daniel - FLEE, but to where?  Edom, Moab, and Ammon  (Petra)  Out of the direct path from the army of the South.  Also protected from Satan.

Jesus said those who are in Judea would flee from the abomination that causes desolation.

He is not telling his disciples to flee.No one is saved by their physical ability. They are saved by the Lord who gives them rain.

It's those who have no rain that will flee on the day of the Lord.

Zech 14

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Jesus is not saying his elect will flee. His elect are gatherd to him at his coming.

I agree with pretty much everything here, but why do you say Satan protects the King of the South? (Northern Africa/Egypt) The KOTN is the Anti-Christ, nit the KOTS, so the KOTS get's conquered as does Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Jordan and all of North Africa are THE MANY in Dan. 9:27, Dan. 8:25 and eve in Dan. 11:41-42 (the MANY Countries). Yes, Edom, Moab and Ammon are in the Petra/Bozrah area, the KOTN (Anti-Christ) can not conquer them. So, why does Satan protect the KOTS when the KOTN clearly conquers the KOTS.

Was it a typo?

Those Jews who repent (the 1/3) flee to the Petra/Bozrah area where God protects them for 1260 days. The Angels will gather them at the 2nd coming, but not in that SAME MINUTE, Jesus wipes out the wicked first, prophecy is nit something where you add in a WHOLE CHAPTER to give a minute by minute timeline, and show a guy named Don is sent with a caravan of buses, and Jesus travels with him to welcome the Jews in hiding back to Jerusalem on an air conditioned bus. We just get the Angels coordinate this event.

So, if we were at war and we defeated Hitler, and a guy named Ron was placed over all of the NAZI Camps, we could say Rn gathered the Jews, but in essence Ron only gave they orders and coordinated it all. It would takes a few days or weeks. Prophecy is much more complex.

The passage you cite ZECH. 14:4-5 is preceded by vs. 3 which says THEN...........and it shows Jesus showing up on the Mt. of Olives right? But that THEN....................came after vs. 1-2 which shows the DOTL and the Beast conquering Israel............the THEN thus happens 42 months after verse 2. That is how prophecy works brother. Likewise in Matt. 24:2-30 we get the exact same thing.

Matt. 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days[begin] shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then(1260 days later just like Zech. 14:3) shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The IMMEDIATELY AFTER just tells us the obvious, IMMEDITELY AFTER the Asteroid makes impact, the Sun and Moon will darken but why? Well a 1/3 of the trees burn, that's why the light is dimmed by 1/3, so all that happens just after the IMPACTM, a 1/3 of the worlds trees burning is going to release SMOKE, its not gong to wait 3.5 years to release the smoke but THEN...............means 3.5 years later. Prophecy is like thar, it JUMPS AROUND. Because it has to, we have to get BIG PICTURE EVENTS, not micro detailed events.

No,those who are fleeing in the day of the Lord are fleeing to the nearest cave.

The 1260 is prior to this fleeing.

Zech 14

You need me to show you the scripture of them hiding underground on the day of the Lord?

I just showed you they are fleeing on the day of the Lord. You don't believe zech 14 .I have no problem understanding their flight.Makes perfect sense they would run and hide from the Lord.

They would have been better off if they had left 42 months prior to the day of the Lord.

No, this is the 2nd Coming, why would God need to protect Israel for 1260 days if this happens as Jesus is showing up? Do you think these things through brother? Azal is at the Mt. of Olives, this is just God telling those Jews still alive, who did not repent, how to act once this Mountain splits into in order to stay alive. God will not kill everyone who did not repent if they also refused to take the Mark of the Beast, some may have "REPENTED" too late, and had to stay in Jerusalem, but this CAN NOT be those who flee into the Mountains of Petra/Bozrah, that is in Jordan, not in Israel !! The problem with people via prophecy is they see FLEE and everything that ever mentioned FLEEING is that same event, we have to use CONTEXT !!

mount_of_olives.jpg.b68a8ee3a9003bb8d58b7e110568014f.jpg

Azal (Mount of Olives) and surrounding area

So, this is clearly not the Jews fleeing Judea because Azal is in Judea !! Come on man !!

The Jews flee at the 1290 which is 30 days BEFORE the DOTL (1260 middle of the week event). They repent at the passages in Zech. 13:8-9, THEN the DOTL arrives in Zech. 14:1.

The 1335 is the Two-witnesses showing up.

Who said God protects Israel for 1260 days?

The saints in Israel are persecuted those 1260 days. Many of them will die for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God.
