In Christ Montana Marv Sure we do not know for sure, but Gog was a person and he didn't live forever and most likely settled the area around Turkey and not so far north as Russia...perhaps his kids and grandkids did. Egypt is still to weak to lift itself up as God had said in Ezekiel 29 so they are not with Gog.Persia,Lybia and ethiopia who accompany Gog are all outside the promised land. In Christ Montana Marv Gods master plan is to resurrect Israel in Ezekiel 37 and bring them to the land of Israel and have them living peacefully without walls in a completely secure kingdom which he has promised them. Then 1000 years after their resurection Gog ,Ethiopia,Lybia,Persia and other countries outside of the kingdom of heaven attempt to overthrow it and are destroyed just as it says in revelation 20 and Ezekiel 38-39. Should be about the time the earth and the heavens are made new.It would probably look alot alike after the flood when everything started looking new again.New trees coming up and new grass appearing.New little animals appearing to multiply. Some folks think the Lord has a spare universe ready to roll in. I prefer to think that the New Sky and Earth is actually the same, but completely remodeled. Fire is often used in scripture as a purifying agent. I suspect that the fire is symbolic for God cleansing the Earth of all of the results of the fall.
