Which Version Bible to Read~Pay for to Own~Read ? ? ? Something is not feeling right about the Bibles these days, On top of having limited space to store a big book in or around my room. Young's Literal Translation of the Bible ? ? ?

It is expensive, Which is why I don't have it, And I don't want to just keep dropping money on modern day Bibles. I don't want to just keep dropping money on Bibles these days. So, Young's Literal Translation ? ? ? Does "Literal" Mean, Literal ? ? ?

And even if it does, Am I or is anyone ever going to understand it perfect enough to settle all of the discrepencies ? ? ? Pre trib, post trib, calvanist, arminiast,My head is about to explode already, Talk about burnout, Does "Literal Translation", Mean, "Literal Translation", ? ? ? ?

There's something to be said for a literal translation; which is why the KJV is so perennially sought after, right?

The KJV is available for free from e-Sword, The Word and other Bible sites for free on the Internet. The KJV Bible is the first bible I read assisted by a Commentary when I became a Christian. I soon switched to the NASB (1977) and NIV (1984) with Commentaries based on these translations. Now I have a wealth of bibles and commentaries.

@SavedOnebyGrace There's a lot to be said for having a translation that follows the structure of the Greek in the NT fairly closely. I saw a chart by Robert Martin comparing how closely the KJV followed the sentence structure in Ephesians 1 compared with the NIV and GNB.

Neither KJV nor any of its revisions and corrections follow the structure of the Greek. Which version of the KJV are you talking about? You are discounting the OT which was written in a different language.

@SavedOnebyGrace Robert Martin in his Banner of Truth book 'Accuracy of Translation' shows that the KJV in Ephesians 1.13 has about 2 sentences; the NIV 10 and GNB 14, if I remember correctly.

@farouk I am not a supporter of the GNB and the NIV is not a word-for-word translation, does not claim to be. I am not sure what you're driving at. I don't know who Robert Martin is and don't particularly care. He supports your position. Why should I care when you disregard sources I provide?
