Hello, I just have some basic questions that I would like answered if that is ok.

Did Jesus take the punishment for our sins on the cross?

Was Jesus raised from the dead?

Is Jesus in heaven right now at the right hand of God?

Thanks!

And I'll add a third agreement with my two brothers here!  (Plus, while Christ is in the heavens, as the Spirit He also lives in His body here on earth.)

Does that satisfy your questions?

Asking questions is always OK.

One for you.

             How are you at accepting  answers?

My answer to your questions is :-

Corinthians 15:14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

A third question is, where did your questions come from?

What caused you to think they were valid questions.

I guess I just have trouble retaining information so I asked the questions. I don't know if that makes sense. I guess I already kind of know the answers but I might have thought it would help to have someone answer the questions.

Isaiah 53:4-11
4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
9 And they made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.

Galatians 3:13
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

1 Peter 2:21-24
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

22 “Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;

23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Acts 3:13-15
13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

Romans 6:9
knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.

Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

2 Timothy 2:8

Sorry for the delay in replying.

        As I said there is no problem in asking questions. You believe and trust in Jesus, that you don't  retain all the answers is no a problem.

Sometimes it takes an awful lot more repetition to remember something, keep working at it.

Yes. Jesus died for our sins. He so suffered and died for us because He loves us. And Jesus is God's very own Son, who did this for us. So, Jesus is not at all conceited!

And God wants us to follow the example of how Jesus was loving while on the cross >

"And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma." (Ephesians 5:2)

So, Jesus dying for us is not only a belief, but an action of the gospel for our salvation, plus our example of how to love.
