The two witnesses are not Jews.They are gentiles and they arrive with gentiles.The topic did not change from one verse to the next.It stays the course. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. The most common is Elijah and Moses, or John the Baptist etc. All of those are Jews. Claiming God will use 2 gentiles is very weak. Before the end comes God will send Elijah prophesy tells us. Whether we think that is Elijah or John the Baptist doesn't matter, but if this was not one of the two witnesses of the end, are you claiming there is also Elijah running around? What I would say in response is that the glorious Gospel is unchanging: based on faith in the finished work of Christ at the Cross for sinners.
