Has anyone seen the eye? That thing is huge! I heard it was over 40 miles across. Edited October 24, 2005 by nebula

The eye passed over us, and it was "fun". 100+ MPH winds before the eye passed, 111+ MPH winds when it passed over. And it could be a month before power is restored in most areas. Two things that are a positive: (1) Temps are in the 70's during the day and in the 50's at night with low humidity. (2) At least I have enough body fat to keep me going for the next few weeks. Hope you get your power back soon!

It's been years since I saw that happen.
