If believing in truth, compassion/love for others, and forbearance/forgiveness of others is to believe in Christ (and it is), then one country in particular, China, has met the criteria for several decades now, where family members have been turning in other family members to persecutions and their death for their faith. The Chinese Communist Party in China (the CCP), has since 1996 criminalized the ideology of Falun gong members, who believe in truth, having compassion/love for others, and forbearance/forgiveness of others trespasses. The CCP encourages Chinese citizens to turn in Falun gong members, many of whom have been turned in by their own family members, who have since been incarcerated, raped, and murdered for refusing to renounce their faith.

I have been watching for the beginning of sorrows signs the Lord mentions in the Olivet discourse, so that I will not be taken unawares when these days become increasing dire (Luke 21:34-35).

Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Another sign of the times that will become increasingly dire has to do with the current mass migration of peoples throughout the world. Europe who has had several years of a mass migration of peoples from Syria, Africa, Afghanistan, and other areas, is now paying some factions in these and other nations to keep the migrants from making way their way to Europe. One of the means used to accomplish this task by  some of these nations has been the murdering of migrants.

Recently in the news, Ethiopians who have been experiencing drought and famine as a result for several years now, have been migrating to Saudi Arabia. So much has this migration recently increased, that the Saudi military has now initiated indiscriminately shooting into the masses of migrants approaching the Saudi border. This has resulted in the deaths of many Ethiopian men, women and children.

In the U.S., Texas has now placed a buoy barricade in the Rio Grande, by which it is predicted will cause the drowning of those attempting to cross at this point.

While the aforementioned three example of nations attempts to curtail migration appear mean hearted, it will get far worse that this, when the Lord, shakes both heaven and earth (Isaiah 13:13). When the worst of times that mankind has ever experienced approaches (Daniel 12:1), immigrants throughout the world will then have to return to their own lands (Isaiah 13:14). Immigrants who do not return to their homeland, and those who are married and harboring foreigners, even though they be citizens of the nations, will likewise be killed (Isaiah 13:15). The times will be so bad that they will even kill their children in front of their eyes, while their properties are looted, and their wives raped (Isaiah 13:16).

As such, for those of us who believe the Word of God that the plagues in Revelation 8 & 9 that are caused by the love mankind has for the things his hands make (Revelation 9:20), are primarily made through fossil fuel burning industries; we can then see by how the worlds governments along with their giant corporations who will not abate their use of fossil fuels, will usher in the plagues in Revelation 8, along with the worst of times mankind will experience on earth (Daniel 12:1).

Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. 14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. 15  Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. 16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Revelation 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Babylon = apostate Israel

Medes= Iran

Isaiah 13

17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it

zech 14

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Thank the Lord for His providing correlations in His Word, so that the truth may be seen. Paul in Hebrews 12:26 corroborates the Word in Isaiah 13:13 as a forthcoming event and not a past event. This time when the Lord shakes not only the earth, but heaven as well, is in order to shake out all the phonies in faith, so that those who truly believe in God/love may remain (Hebrews 12:27). When the Lord shakes heaven (Isaiah 13:13; Hebrews 12:26), it is Satan and his angels who are shaken out (Revelation 12:9), when the worst of times are occurring on the earth, and Michael stands up for the saints (Daniel 12:1; Revelation 12:7).

Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Hebrews 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

Hebrews 12:27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

I never said it was a past event.

I said it about Iran attacking Israel.

As for the heavens and the earth shaking, that is talking about the coming nuclear war known as the war of Armageddon.

It's when the king of the east go to war.Armegeddon itself is in Israel. After the nations have attacked Israel ,raping it's woman and ransacking it's houses,Israel allies in the north respond with nuclear missiles.Thats when the heavens and earth shakes. The day itself is called the day of the Lord because that when he comes.

Yes, the Medes who today are Iran, is in this picture, along with Babylon, who is the glory of the worlds nations today, and therefore is Babylon the Great, whom God shall overthrow as He did Sodom and Gomorrah (Isaiah 13:19). Ancient Babylon was not overthrown as was Sodom and Gomorrah, while Babylon the Great is scheduled to be overthrown thus (Revelation 18:21).

Isaiah 13:19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Revelation 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Israel is part of the Middle East (the Southern kingdom in Daniel 11), whom the Northern kingdom shall annihilate through the abomination of desolation. So, yes, I do agree with some of your perspective, including this time referred to as the day of the Lord. Amos 5:18-20 describes how bad the day of the Lord will be, where people attempting to escape the troubles in their own countries by migrating to other countries, will only find worse conditions to where they flee. And these dire times include in all nations, as there will be wailing in all vineyards, as the Lord passes through (Amos 5:17). Do you notice the correlation of dire status on the whole earth during the day of the Lord in Isaiah 13:9; 13-15, with the day of the Lord in Amos 5:17-20?

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. 19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. 20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Amos 5:17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the Lord.

Isaiah 13:9  Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Amos 5 is also talking about the house of Israel who has chosen a king whos symbol is a star. They are cast out on that day beyond Damascus.

The king they have chosen is the beast and his star symbol is on its flag.

Woe to you who long
for the day of the Lord!
Why do you long for the day of the Lord?
That day will be darkness, not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion
    only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall
only to have a snake bite him.
20 Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light—
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?

21 “I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
your assemblies are a stench to me.
22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
    I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
23 Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 But let justice roll on like a river,
    righteousness like a never-failing stream!

25 “Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel?
26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king,
    the pedestal of your idols,
    the star of your god[b]
    which you made for yourselves.
27 Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,”
says the Lord, whose name is God Almighty.

I agree with you somewhat. The house of Israel chooses another god/love, that being the beast of ten horns, who is the Northern kingdom, with whom the robbers of the house of Israel will side, in order to establish the beasts mouth vision of great things to come (Daniel 11:14). This is still some time away, though, when the AoD, who is the beasts mouth stands and sits in the minds and hearts of the people. First must come the dire beginning of sorrows events in order for the world to welcome the beasts vision of a great new future.

Daniel 11:14 And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.

The king Israel has chosen is Benjamin netanyahu.

They vote for who they want.
