⁷ Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

 

This prophecy is speaking about Jesus.

Jesus will gather Jacob again to God.  None other is qualified.

I was beginning to think no one knew who he is.

Seeing that Christ is the light of the world and is called Israel in the text,

 

What do you think of the government in the middle east who claims to be to be Israel and claims to have gatherd Israel and is gathering Israel from all the world,?

 

There are some on this board who seem to think very highly of it.

The government itself calls itself Israel just as the text calls Christ Israel.

In that governments law ,the law of return ,they give all Jews the right to return .They are then called "Israel".Jews have been gatherd from all parts of the world in this way.

I believe your statement was about the government of Israel making a claim, I want to verify that it made that claim.

I want to verify your initial statement about the government saying something specific,

FWIW, Israel is a nation -that means a people- not a government which is a kingdom..

No,Israel is the name a few people voted on to call their government and the country that belongs to it.Its kingdom.

The people who move to that country then become citizens of the country and are then governed by the government that controls that country.
