Adrien @Marilyn C @AdHoc Just think . . . we know that "the worlds were framed by the Word of God" (Jesus), and nothing came into existence apart from Him. So all matter was out from Him. But then it is stated that "the Son was granted to have life in Himself." So then the very words He speaks, "they are Spirit and they are life." Wowzie! Matter is one thing, but life is a whole 'nuther ballgame folks! As a former nuclear engineer and reactor operator, I have endlessly contemplated those statements and others. Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. And especially Colossians 1:15-18 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. It would be vanity to claim understanding, or the ability to explain. What I do know, is that we can come to the place where we realize there is no other explanation. There is a certainty, that the Lord calls truth. Furthermore, after studying the efforts of philosophy, metaphysics, neuroscience, or cognitive psychology to explain creation and human consciousness, you also come to clearly see the vanity of their efforts. Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
