Do they know Jesus? How do they live their lives? What do they do with the money they earned? Elitism and snobbery have been around much longer than high fashion......that's the individual, not a designer. I don't think it's wrong to want or have "nice" things but, they are just "things". In the end, they don't matter. Not so much because of the name but because of the quality and the design I fell in love with. I have had this purse for a few years now and it is still in great shape. I'm not sure what your problem is but if you can afford a Gucci wallet and don't ask someone to get it for you there's no problem. But as I said your just hung up on things like this. As for me I don't get what the big deal is. I've never been impressed with labels. As for you I think it pride and you can read about pride in scripture. However I don't like the price, lol! So I make thrift stores/garage sales to buy most of my clothes: A nice pair of Ralph Lauren dress slacks-got at a thrift store as part of "stuff a bag for $1" deal, lol! A nice Tommy pullover Polo shirt-yard sale for $2, lol! Hart, Schaffner, and Marx sport coat-included in the "stuff a bag" deal! Nice Stafford suit-thrift store for $1! Nice Happy Goodmans 8-track tape-thrift store, $1-oh wait, that doesn't count! Seriously, if you like expensive things, try hitting thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales. Most of the time you'll pay a fraction of the cost than you would for new and it looks just as good! If nothing else, hit end of season sales at the department stores; I bought several nice shirts from Dillard's, including a Polo one, for $11.99 apeice.
