THE POWER OF GOD

Beloved ones, we heard our Lord Jesus said:

 

“Jesus answered and said unto them, 

Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

Beloved ones, let us not be mistaken, but let us know the scriptures, or the power of God.

 

What is THE POWER OF GOD? 

 

This is what we have heard:

 

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no POWER but OF GOD: THE POWERS THAT BE ARE ORDAINED OF GOD.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

what is the meaning of ORDAINED? 

make (someone) a priest or minister; confer HOLY ORDERS on.

order or DECREE (something) officially.

 

For we also heard:

 

“Whosoever therefore resisteth THE POWER, resisteth THE ORDINANCE OF GOD: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

If we therefore submit to THE POWER, that is, submit to THE ORDINANCE OF GOD: and we that submit shall receive to ourselves SALVATION.

 

That we may understand:

 

THE POWER OF GOD is THE ORDINANCE OF GOD.

“And he said unto them, Take heed WHAT ye hear: with WHAT measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear SHALL MORE BE GIVEN.”

Beloved ones, let us take heed this, that we heard Jesus said:

 

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL POWER is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

Paraphrasing for clarity: 

 

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL ORDINANCE OF GOD  is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

 

That we may understand, there is not only one ordinance of God, but many, and that ALL ORDINANCE OF GOD is given unto JESUS in heaven and in earth.

“But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such POWER unto men.”

What POWER, which God had given such unto men ? 

 

This is what we have heard:

 

“And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city. 

 

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. 

 

And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. 

 

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 

 

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath POWER on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 

 

And he arose, and departed to his house.

That we may understand:

 

POWER, which God had given such unto men is THE ORDINANCE OF GOD on earth to forgive sins, which God had given such unto men.

“And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as A PRINCE hast thou POWER with God and with men, and hast prevailed.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭32‬:‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

How as A PRINCE hast thou POWER with God and with men, and hast prevailed? 

 

This, we heard Peter and the other apostles said: 

 

“Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be A PRINCE and a Saviour, for TO GIVE REPENTANCE to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.”

Paraphrasing for clarity, that we may understand what has been said in Genesis‬ ‭32‬:‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬:

That we may understand:

 

For we shall receive power (THE ORDINANCE OF GOD) after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us: and we shall be witnesses unto JESUS both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

 

What shall we be witnesses unto JESUS ? 

 

This, we heard:

 

“This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.”

That we may understand:

 

That we shall be witnesses unto JESUS, for this Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

 

Beloved ones, let us receive power (THE ORDINANCE OF GOD) after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us:  and we shall be witnesses unto Jesus, for this Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them POWER against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”

And when he had called unto him his twelve DISCIPLES, he gave them THE ORDINANCE OF GOD against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

 

For we also heard:

 

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Beloved ones, we are spiritual Jews, then said Jesus to us.

 

For we also heard:

 

“For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is ONE INWARDLY; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the SPIRIT, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭2‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

That we may understand:

 

For we are Jews which is one inwardly, in the spirit, whose praise is of God, which believed on the testimony of Him, if we continue in His word, then are we His disciples indeed; and we shall know the truth, and the truth shall make us free.

 

That we may understand:

 

For Jesus gave His disciples THE POWER or THE ORDINANCE OF GOD against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

 

Beloved ones, let us who are disciples of Jesus, perceive and understand, that we received THE POWER or THE ORDINANCE OF GOD against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

That we may understand:

 

That God hath given us the spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

 

What is THE SPIRIT OF POWER ?

 

This we heard:

What is THE SPIRIT OF LOVE ? 

 

This, we heard:

 

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for GOD IS LOVE.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, THAT WE MIGHT LIVE THROUGH HIM.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

That we may understand:

 

THE SPIRIT OF LOVE is THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

 

That we may understand:

 

THE SPIRIT OF LOVE, for the reason, that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, THAT WE MIGHT LIVE THROUGH HIM or HIS SON.

 

What is THE SPIRIT OF A SOUND MIND? 

 

This is what we have heard:

 

“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to THINK SOBERLY, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

Also, we heard: 

 

“And BE NOT DRUNK with wine, wherein is excess; but BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬-‭21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

That we may understand:

 

THE SPIRIT OF A SOUND MIND is THE SPIRIT OF A SOBER MIND.

 

That we may understand:

 

That be we SOBER that be we FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT, speaking to ourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in our heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting ourselves one to another in the fear of God.

 

Now, let us paraphrase what we have heard in ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

For God hath given us THE SPIRIT (THE WORDS THAT JESUS SPEAKS UNTO US) of POWER (ORDINANCE), and of LOVE (GOD), and of A SOUND MIND ( A SOBER MIND or AN INFILLING OF THE SPIRIT).

 

That we may understand:

 

For God hath given us THE SPIRIT (THE WORDS THAT JESUS SPEAKS UNTO US) of THE POWER (THE ORDINANCE); we therefore submit to THE POWER, submit to THE ORDINANCE OF GOD: and we that submit shall receive to ourselves salvation.

 

For God hath given us THE SPIRIT (THE WORDS THAT JESUS SPEAKS UNTO US) of LOVE (GOD), because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

 

For God hath given us THE SPIRIT (THE WORDS THAT JESUS SPEAKS UNTO US) of A SOUND MIND (AN INFILLING OF THE SPIRIT) according as God hath dealt to every one of us the measure of faith. That be we FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT; speaking to ourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in our heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting ourselves one to another in the fear of God.

which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

What is THE TESTIMONY OF HIS NAME? 

 

This, we heard:

 

“And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.”

That we may understand:

 

That as many as received Him ( Jesus), to us gave he POWER ( THE ORDINANCE OF GOD) to become the sons of God, even to us that believe on the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob:

 

which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

“They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, And talk of thy POWER; 

 

To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, 

And the glorious majesty of his kingdom.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭145‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

That we may understand:

 

We shall speak of the glory of His kingdom to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts.

 

We that talk of His POWER (THE  ORDINANCE OF GOD) to make known to the sons of men, that the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

Beloved ones, we heard this question: 

 

“WHAT if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 

 

and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 

 

even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭22‬-‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

Let us consider the answer to WHAT. 

 

If God, willing to SHEW HIS WRATH ( or SHOW HIS REBUKE OF THE COVENANT): and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy.

 

If God, and [willing] to make his power (ORDINANCE) known: [on the vessels of mercy] which He had afore prepared unto glory.

 

if God, [willing] endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: [unto glory,] even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.

 

That we may understand:

 

God, unwilling to conceal His pleasure or testimony, for God willing to reveal His pleasure or testimony OF THE COVENANT:

and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy.

 

God, and unwilling to repeal or revoke or annul

His power (ORDINANCE) secret,for God, and [willing] to make His power (ORDINANCE) known: [on the vessels of mercy] which He had afore prepared unto glory.

 

God, willing appear with much patience the vessels of mercy right following life: [unto glory,] even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles.

 

Then we heard:

 

“As he saith ALSO in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; And her beloved, which was not beloved.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

“And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; There shall they be called the children of the living God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

Paraphrasing for clarity:

 

As he ( God) saith ALSO in OSEE or Hosea or SALVATION, I will call them my people, which were not my people; And her beloved, which was not beloved.

 

And it shall come to pass, that IN THE PLACE where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; There shall they be called the children of the living God.

 

That we may understand:

 

As God saith also in SALVATION or Christ or Anointing, He will call them His people, which were not His people. 

 

Beloved ones, this is OF GRACE, that God SAID in Christ, that He WILL CALL us His people, for Christ is our God. 

 

And her beloved, which was not beloved.

 

Beloved ones, this is OF GRACE, that God SAID in Christ, that He WILL CALL us “her beloved” or THE COVENANT’s BELOVED or HIS PROMISE OF LOVE, which WAS NOT PROMISED LOVE. 

 

Then we heard:

 

“Esaias ALSO crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, A REMNANT shall be saved: 

 

for he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

 

Paraphrasing for clarity:

 

Christ Is Salvation or Salvation Of The Lord also crieth concerning Israel or repentance of truth: Though the number of the children of Israel or repentance of truth be as the sand of the sea or as the eroded of the rock of wisdom, A REMNANT of the rock or a remnant of Christ shall be saved: 

 

for he will finish the work or for He will complete the work of goodness or for He will complete the union with Christ, 

 

and cut IT or THE WORK or THE UNION short in righteousness or and quicken the union with Christ in righteousness 

 

because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth or because a short UNION will the Lord make upon the heart or because a quickening union with Christ will the Lord make upon the heart. 

 

Then we heard:

 

“And as Esaias said BEFORE, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us A SEED, We had been as Sodoma, and been made like 

unto Gomorrha.”

And as Esaias or Yah Is Salvation or Salvation Of The Lord said BEFORE, Except the Lord of SABAOTH had left us A SEED or A PROMISE OF SANCTIFICATION, We had been as Sodoma and been made like 

unto Gomorrha. 

 

For we also heard: 

 

“But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren BELOVED of the Lord, 

BECAUSE GOD HATH FROM THE BEGINNING CHOSEN YOU TO SALVATION THROUGH SANCTIFICATION OF THE SPIRIT AND BELIEF OF THE TRUTH:

 

whereunto he CALLED you by our GOSPEL, TO THE OBTAINING OF THE GLORY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
