1 Corinthians 3:17

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

 

Here is how you DEFILE the Temple of God….

 

Matthew 15:8-20

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

20 These are the things which DEFILE a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”

In the Body of Christ, (which is made up of many members) there is One Spirit that unites.  The Spirit of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Truth)

In the body of the Beast, (which is made up of many members) there is one spirit that unites.  The spirit of the Dragon, the beast, and the false prophet spirit(the lying spirit)

This lying spirit has entered into the Temple that God had made for Himself to dwell in, (the body) and has “seated”himself in the place of the “heart/mind/spirit of man.  This spirit has exalted “himself” as God.

Ezekiel 28:2

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

 

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

It is the “spirit” that is at work “in”man that dictates what is “in”the heart.

Is it possible for man to have good and bad spirits in him at same time. Or they these two spirits alternate take over causing man to stumble sometimes.

The “spirit”of the Devil is at work “in” all the hearts and minds of the children of disobedience.

This is the “spirit” that “exalts itself” above that of God.

2 Thessalonians 2:4

The “spirit”of the Devil causes man “to do the lusts” of their father the Devil.

The Holy Spirit of God causes a man “to do the will” of His Father in heaven.

If someone has the Holy Spirit of God they have a “heart” like that of God.

If a man is born of the Holy Spirit then that Wicked spirit of the Devil cannot enter into his house/temple.

1 John 5:18

We know that whosoever is born of Godsinneth not; but he that is begotten of Godkeepeth himself, and “that wicked one toucheth him not.”

I will also add that what you are describing is a “double minded man” who is unstable in all his ways.

James 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 4:8

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye “double minded.”

I am trying to understand.  We are humans with a sin nature after being saved we are still Human.

I also see verses like this

1 John 1

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
