They don't realize the truth, that God is in control. With respect to the solar warming, look at http://www.friendsofscience.org for an explanation of what is going on. Clearer thinking will show that much of the "global warming due to increased CO2 levels" is simply not true.

Clearer thinking will show that much of the "global warming due to increased CO2 levels" is simply not true. In Romans 8 Paul speaks about how one man (Adam) caused the entire world to fall into sin. In case there is confusion on what "world" is, Paul states that all of creation. This means all of creation fell into sin because of one man. God is powerful and in control, but it doesn't mean there aren't consequences for our actions. Man not only can change the climate, man has changed the climate. This does not take the power away from God, it merely shows how far we've fallen from God. You forget that materialism is what causes pollution, which in turn causes climate change. You are, in effect, saying there are no consequences for materialism.

The problem is that both sides can point to valid arguments. For instance, we can pretty much accept as fact that when a large enough volcanic erruption occurs, it totally disrupts Earth's climate for years because of everything spewed into the air. It takes time for Earth's ecosystem to process the ash and gases and bring the climate back to equilibrium - just like when chemicals are injected into the human body that disrupt its system(s). The question is are we releasing more gases into the atmosphere than the Earth is able to process? Is the Earth maintaining its equilibrium, or is our production superceding it? But we know in the past the climate has been warmer - recall that the Vikings used to farm Greenland! So, what is natural and what is man-made? Do we truly have enough information to accurately sayit is definantly one or the other, or a mixture of both?
