There's a reason that Fox News is the world's #1 news network, and it's not because most Americans are conservative.

 There's another one!

I never see any of those "other news networks" "praise" anybody--left or right.

They do not always say it with "I praise so and so"

it is a lot of times in how they say peoples names or even speak of them...

there is reverence in their voices with Dem's and disgust with Rep's..

accusatory if you please..

I watch the news..I hear them talk..

that is what I hear on most news networks..

Fox people do not do that ..at least my little ears do not hear it there...

as far as I have heard and seen from them they have managed to keep their personal opinions "covered" for the most part..

Fox fan ...

 You're kidding!

The way the other news media portrays the Clintons and Ted Kennedy, you'd think they had wings and halos.

I've never watched MSNBC. And it's been a long time since I watched the evening news on ABC or CBS or NBC. But I do watch CNN and Fox sometimes. Fox's bias does figure more prominent to me than CNN's. In fact, I don't recognize CNN's bias at all (not to say that it's not there--and not to say that I might not be biased myself.) There is no comparison between CNN and the NYTimes though--as far as I can tell.

Also, I'll point out that the following ain't true about Fox at all:

The guys that are conservative tell us that they are conservative. They guys that are liberal tell us that they are liberal.

Watch Fox & Friends. An interesting show when you look at it, not as a news show, but as a sociological phenomenon of sorts. They give their delivery of the news this conversational tone that makes it easy for them to slide in personal views--both explicitly and implicitly by their use of tone and humor. They don't say that they are conservative... but it's pretty obvious that they are to anyone that knows the difference. But because everything they say that say in conversation and with a certain "informal" air, one might not notice a personal views slid in between news items. I call this underhanded and cheap.

I'll bet if the whole country stopped watching the news for a week, everybody would be much happier. :)

The only good news is no news. :noidea:

I was watching the news the morning of 9/11 and saw the plane fly into the towers and from that day I have been a check the news ,usually, several times a day person..

I kind of feel out of it if I do not know what is going on in the world..

Then when my son was in the war at the beginning I watched 24/7 then...

I am not sure if you were serious about the not watching for a week but

if I were not busy with something that had my attention for a few days

I would really miss not knowing what was happening out there... :emot-hug:

yea...addicted...

I seldom listen to anyone but Fox..

I agree that Fox will tell you when any one messes up whether Republican or Democrat...

I only see bias in the other news networks...

You do not hear them praise any Republican when they do good as to most of them they do no good in their view..

Fox is fair and balanced...

Yes , they all have their agenda to make money..

I guarantee ya if the story about the cows is true cnn would do the same thing..

was that documentarty on the fox news channel?

My point is that Fox isn't perfect either. They fired a woman because she tried to report the truth and the FOX executives didn't like it because it would have offended their sponsors. No the documentary was from NetFlix.

my problem with news is they almost always "color" it for sensationalism..

That aggravates me and they all do that...

I will have to check out CBN news...

I may like it too...
