I've heard more news on Rush that wasn't being reported than any place else before DrudgeReport. I love the daily show and have no complaints...

But Keith Olberman? He's gonna sink MSNBC before it's over with his guile....even though I think he's pretty funny

The Drudge Report is where you'll find the news first.

I just wanna say that I can't find ANY referrence for the quotes that fforestkc attributed to Rush Limbaugh. Aren't there rules about citing your references? He said he got them off of wikiquote...but they are not there. Just trying to clarify because I would like to know the context of these quotes since it is apparently NOT important to him.

Yea but before it came along there was only Rush reporting the stories that ABC, NBC, CNN, and CBS refused to tell.

And the only place I would hear an honest assessment of the news was on Rush's show.

Now there are hundreds of talk shows proliferating because he showed that it could be done on a national level.

We are indebted to his pioneering efforts on all sides.

I too would like to have a link for Rush's quotes.

I believe it is required by the boards to post a link or it is considered plagarism.

If you dont listen to Rush regularly, you cant tell when he's being sarcastic.

And that "bone in the nose" comment was made 37 YEARS ago when he was a music DJ under another name.

Ridiculous to use that quote.

I still think that bringing his marriage problems into this is hitting below the belt.

The "cant even keep a wife" comment is insulting to every single person who has ever got a divorce.

tsk tsk tsk

You are absolutely right . The man is a big enough disgrace without bringing up his marital problems.

NPR tries to be fair and objective, Rush and Air America don't.

NPR is government funded and therefore is bound by law to be impartial politically. That doesn't really work out like it's supposed to because you end up with pro-government types deciding which people will get air time.

The biggest difference between the ones you just named is that Rush is the only one who is honest about being biased. He makes no apologies for being biased either.

Actually, NPR is mostly listener funded, only about 1% or so typically comes from public funds anymore.

The people they choose for "conservatives" aren't even decent moderates usually. So, their "fairness" is one-sided at least 80% of the time.

I have heard some good programs though or I wouldn't listen at all...

But "All Sides Considered" usually isn't considering all sides fairly.

I don't know about that, usually it is someone from The National Review, the Editor for the Washington Times, or a fellow at Heritage. Those would all be avowed conservatives. I don't think Conservatives would be well served at all to have some nut job like Ann Coulter on there, she has the far right that likes her, but she is a joke to everyone else, thus would be a poor representative of conservative views.

How would you know?

I don't watch Olberman so I don't know about him. I have listened to Rush more than enough to know that he usually misrepresents the news. I might also point out that even Matt Drudge himself has said that at best, only about 80% or so of the news reported on the DrudgeReport is true.

Why do you think the libs want to bring back the "fairness doctrine"?

You don't find that on talk radio. Talk radio is primarily just a bunch of blowhards who shout down anyone who disagrees with them, and who spread what ever half truth bolsters their side that day. It is not news, it is simply entertainment. Limbaugh is no more of a source of news than the Daily Show is.

That's not true on Hannity and Colmes. In fact, most programs, even liberal ones (like on CNN and MSNBC), have someone from both sides, but the liberals either dance around the questions, or shout down the ones they don't agree with. I've seen this time and again.

Hannity never shouts anyone down?? Oh what selective perception we have.

Come on, you think that Hannity andColmes is a fair representation of the issues?
