I'm just wondering how many of you take your Bibles to church?

I rarely do, as trying to flip through the pages looking for a verse usually distracts me from what is being said, but then I feel weird, because everyone else has THEIR Bibles.

I usually just listen to the pastor read the passage.

Shalom,

No, never. The Pastor uses a King James and I don't, so following in my Bible is distracting. I want to get the full meaning of the passages. I simply close my eyes as he reads the Scriptures and I get more out it this way, rather than trying to keep up between 2 translations.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. The reason I don't is because the church has the pew Bible which is the one that is preached from and my Bible although good has different wording so I prefer to follow the church sermon with church pew Bible and than double check my Bible at home.

Always take my Bible.

That way I can make notes in the margins on things I want to remember.

Plus, I dont believe everything anyone says, I verify everything spoke in church.

I do but I don't always open it up. SOmetimes I just listen, other times i will follow along. the thing with me is, I get easily distracted and will start reading something else and miss what is being said, so most of hte time it stays under my seat...

I used to, but now I go to a church that has Bibles for every pew...and my Bible's pretty hefty, so it's a lot to carry when there's already one there.

Always take my Bible to church. Also have one in my truck and one in car. And have a couple dozen or so in my home for my own use, and a shelf of free Bibles to give away.
