Hate Crime Bill/ Presented by Sen. Kennedy

Don't know if the forum mods. approve of this method but I think it's very important that everyone get on their Congressmen A.S.A.P. and voice your opinion after finding out more information on this topic. Joyce Meyer Ministries was kind enough to keep me informed and I'm passing it on for those who know the true impact this will have and how it will impact and affect our freedom to worship!

In an effort to bypass an up or down vote, the Senator Kennedy-sponsored Hate Crimes Bill was slipped in as an amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill (S. 1547). This amendment is expected to be considered, voted on, and passed within the next few days.

As Glen Lavy of the Alliance Defense Fund has documented, the Hate Crimes Bill is a "discriminatory measure that criminalizes thoughts, feelings and beliefs [and] has the potential of interfering with religious liberty and freedom of speech."

What YOU can do to help!

Contact your senators and urge them to oppose this amendment.

i mentioned in another thread that the libs have now slipped this in with a military defense funding bill, in order to force bush into putting it through without a veto.

i don't care for joyce myer, but she's right on this one. and the same thing is being discussed through other christian media sources.

we should contact our senators, and we should also be deep in prayer.

Cajunboy::::: Thanks for the information LadyC. Also, I would think you would want to 'CARE" for everyone?? I think I understood what you were referencing, although I still can't understand why you would not care for someone who only wants to get God's message to the world and help a few thousand people acquire sheltering? But I'm sure you have your reasons. Just like you have your reasons for the comment you made on a topic of homosexuals, when you commented about "genetics" being involved in the Homosexual makeup! To each his/her own!

i have repeatedly, for years, stood firmly on these boards that homosexuality is NOT genetic. since you're the second person (or the same person twice?) to mention it (both times in threads that had nothing to do with it), i'll ask you the same thing i did the other poster. would you please provide me a link to the post in question? either i made a typo or my comments were misunderstood. if you want to know my position on homosexuality and genetics, there are about five bajillion posts in my history you can read through, many of them in the current thread on this forum, that will put your mind to rest.

I agree. I've even heard of siamese twins; one was homosexual and the other was straight. As disturbing as that may be, it definitely shows that homosexuality is not genetic.
