I don't think any Christian church is embracing abortion, worm; gays in the priesthood? Yes, some do. But you can't blame all of these problems on feminists. I'd think the gay agenda has something to do with it. I would contend that I'm right when I say the Vatican has tremendous problems and has for years. The scandals just keep on coming. I'm still trying to get my head around what 'liberal politics' have to do with women being pastors. Go figure. :)

You know the troubles in the Vatican with horrible sexual sins is another very sad story. And alot of this can be attributed to adding a restriction to the ministry of priest (shouldn't be priests anyway, should be ministers/pastors) that was never portrayed in Scripture.

Cajunboy:::: Dear heart, While the RCC has many problems within the confines of its beliefs, it would be difficult to believe that just because the Catholic Church doesn't allow its priests to wed, they might succomb to homosexuality. May I suggest that many young men who practice homosexuality are drawn to the Catholic Church and its professions because they suspect they are homosexual and the church can sometime keep their secrets well hidden. Also, you might want to consider that many other churches have similar problems, most of which you never hear of but just as sinful. For instance, a preacher or minister who practices adultery, or is an alcholic or is into pornography. Just because someone choose not to reveal them , doesn't make the sin any less a reality. Do not limit men drawn to homosexuality mainly to priest merely because they work with communities and/or children. We have serious problems with the same in our schools and colleges as well. And being from a Catholic background, I still agree with you that our Priests should also be allowed to marry. This might cut down on many other types of sin as well.

Be Blessed

joyce meyers is very good.she reaches a lot of people because she is "down to earth".your loss if you don't like her!

I'm in agreement with you chin! Joyce has helped me as well as many of my friends and relatives in my life....That's all that matters. That she helps others! And she brings those in need to the God who loves them! I wonder how many here have listened to one of her videos or read a complete book that is written by her, before she is judged so cruelly? I would also be curious to know what types of offenses they find she has committed?? Answers that come from a woman of God whom has been so severly abused as a child by her own father, tells me that she has every bit as right to teach the Word of God as the next man/woman.....Perhaps, not behind a pulpit in a church/synogogue but teach and preach nonetheless!

Thanks and blessings Chin

joyce meyers is very good.she reaches a lot of people because she is "down to earth".your loss if you don't like her!

She puts on a self gratifying show about her idea of the "Christian life" (whatever that is) not to mention her endorsement of WOF teachers. Run the other way.

what was it that Christ said about those that were casting out demons and healing people in the Name of Jesus, when his disciples querried him and said they had rebuked them, for they were not walking in the group that was with Christ???

did not Christ say that if they are not against us, then they are for us?????

is Joyce Meyers against us? or is she against Christ????

Who actually ordains a person to Go out to the Corners of the Earth and Share the Gosple to ALL Nations?

and WHO is the Great Commission Directed at?

Who gives the Words to speak?

and which males are going to be call DAUGHTERS, of the Sons and Daughters that will be prophecying?

we can go on all day long....

first off....

not all "denominations" that have female ministers in their midst want homosexual ministers....

I know of one female minister, that was doing street preaching almost 100 years ago ( some where around the 1920's ) she is still alive today and still ministers to those around her.

the question should really be (not if women should be preaching) but rather, Who Is Really Doing The Preaching?

is it the man behind the pulpit? or the woman behind the pulpit?

or

is it the Holy Spirit doing the preaching through the man or woman behind the pulpit?

as was stated earlier in this thread when talking about Deborah, that God will use a woman when there is not a man to step up into the position.....

what has happened to our MEN??????

for those that do not believe a woman needs to be or should be or is totally out of line by being behind the pulpit, then maybe it is time those people step up and take over the positions....

i have been to fellowships where a woman was not even allowed to speak during a service (tongues, interpretation, or prophecy, as well as give a testimony) and the only place a woman could work in the church was cleaning, secretary, or nursary and childrens sunday school up to 5th or 6th grade, after that it was the mans job.....mike

im going to stop right there because i see this "we have to save the church" attitude.

do you think its a coincidence that not many men are stepping up to the plate?

yep, there are many men doing dreadful things within a church. there are many wonderful

messages by female pastors/ministers tickling the ears of believers that know how to sing

a good song and do self praise.

do you think its a coincidence?

if the rapture comes in our lifetime do you think its because "time is over" and Jesus is ready?

I wouldnt be surprised if Christ comes because the "church" is so way off base that every believer that is born

is away from the divine order.

you see, it only takes faith in Christ to be born again. However, the "Church" has to be run with a certain order.

When that order has gone astray then guess what?...then time is up and theres no point.

Our age is the age of grace and the age where Christ builds His Church (the inhabitans of the New Jerusalem).

People may seem like they are being born everyday but the Church is a dying breed. When it's close to

dying i bet the rapture happens. You can even tell how the style of the Church has been in the last

couple of generations. If one doesnt see this then one is blind.

So by all means support those that want to help the Church but I will tell you right now that

God will not let it die. He'll pull the last of it out and throw everyone else into tribulation including believers.

Man does not lead the "Church," Christ does. Every thing that you feel is a "necessity for Christ" is not.

HE will take care of the Church and He will pull the plug on it.

you can see it in scripture and thats no lie.

You're displaying a problem you have which is calling good (teaching God's word) evil and evil (stopping God's word from being taught) good. You might want to calm down and reconsider your position.

Nearly all these denominations (ELCA, PCUSA, and others) have fallen into various forms of apostasy, feminism, gnosticism and unbelief. Nearly all are on the verge of ordination of homosexuals. Nearly all have replaced the doctrine of justification and the gospel with a feel good social gospel, a politically correct agenda and liberal politics. All of those practices are the direct result of ordaining women and placing them in positions of church authority. Is this spirit of the anti-Christ so strong in you that you just ignore the reality of where women pastors and church leaders have taken so many?

By ordaining women pastors, in your opinion, all of these churches have turned from the Word? I would have to say that the one denomination that has NO female priests or bishops is the one with the biggest problems today. Would you care to guess which one? BTW, what do liberal politics have to do with the church???

You are completely wrong if you think Rome is in nearly as bad a shape as denominations like ELCA. And liberal politics play a strong role with these denominations with their embracing abortion and homosexual issues. It is no coincidence that their problems started with the ordination of women.

Well they may not be Christian churches in reality but the women-lead denominations and churches have no problem with abortion. If you do not understand that then you are not familiar with what is going on in ELCA and Presby USA.

Definitely time to shake the dust off my feet in this thread. Only on Worthy could a thread where someone is trying to warn people of the real consequences of women church leadership, turn into a Roman Catholic bashing thread. Ironically limiting the priesthood to men is an area where Rome actually has it right. Nice hi jack and nice way to turn attention from the reality of what has happened to whole denominations that women now lead.

And as I said, those denominations are now in total apostasy with no gospel but plenty of left wing politics, feminism, ecumenism and gnosticism. And they will soon be ordaining the homosexual. I have visited their seminary campus bookstores and they are nothing but a book club for feminist studies and propaganda with no concern for Christ. In fact many of their books are now pushing a feminine god. But who cares? Having ordained women is so much more important! And when I see people using a WOF heretic like Joyce Meyers as their role model for the woman pastor it literally turns my stomach. But my conscience is now clear on this issue. For those who want women priestesses and pastorettes, have at it but I thank God that by His grace they are not in my church and denomination.

As I see it there is a false dichotomy - should women in ministry be silenced or set free? (To borrow the title from Inhistime's much publicised DVD's). This is misleading; it is to give an either/or that doesn't exist in terms of Scriptural injunctions. It is never suggested in the Bible that women are EITHER silent OR set free. What DOES exist are limitations on a woman's ministry. Yes, she should teach her children, teach other women, and generally contend for the faith, but in church, i.e. a public setting, she should not teach men. Eve did not teach Adam God's commandment not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Adam taught Eve, because He came first, and Adam and Eve are representative of the whole human race.

Likewise men have limitations, they are held responsible for their offspring even though they do not bear their children in their own bodies - contrary to the feminist agenda which gives a woman ownership of the child she carries.

We have 4 female pastors and 4 male pastors. Our female pastors teach all of us. We have a School of Leaders and they all teach us. They are all as capable and worthy as each other. In fact, our lead pastor's wife is also his co-lead and she is also in authority along with her husband over the other pastors, male and female.

It is exactly as it was in the days of Paul, the New Testament churches. We are a church that is blessed by God, with eharts that seek after Him and His will in all things. We are a growing and prosperous Body, with salvations that are consolidated regularly.

If we were a body that were doing it wrong, God would remove His hand of blessing and favour from us. He has given us His assurance that we are in His will, and that He is pleased with us and our obedience.

As we are a cell church with 60 cell leaders, myself one of them, I am considered a lay pastor, and being female makes no difference to God.
