This is a verse God has laid on my heart for how we should treat those with whom we disagree:

And the Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth

2 Timothy 2:24-25

Just one more thing BroDavid

How do you explaing men such as CH Spurgeon, George Whitfield, John Owen etc.

All held to Calvanism and worked themselves to death trying to reach people for Christ.

It seems if they held to your understanding of Calvanism they would have sat back and only preached to their "chosen ones"

Pastoreric, I am looking forward to reading your response.

Moderators I am pulling out in the hope that you wont close the thread. Things have got a bit ugly and I would love to continue reading other responses.

It seems that every time this concept is discussed, it becomes emotional. Most of the emotion comes from a failure to grasp what the other side is really saying.

Did you imagine me saying never ?

LOL. <_<

I am neither fickle nor above correction.

I have debated over this with some of the best minds in Theology in my Country.

And a whole bunch of Pastors from the States.

I am asking you all to change my mind if you can. <_<

Rather simple really.

The Bible is not very complicated.

For God so loved the World.

Even in ancient Hebrew is says the same message.

Do you think he led all those Israelites towards the Chosen Land although He had already pre-chosen who should enter.

Those who did not enter, were barred from entry because of the Choices they made along the way.

God did not interfere then.

What makes you think He will interfere now ?

Beat that and you have my un-divided attention.

Tulip or Daisy they are nothing but Interpretations of Men which have been made famous.

God Bless.

YBIC

:)
