World pledges billions to build Arab state on Jews' land

Stan Goodenough - Dec 18, 2007

Jerusalem Newswire

Representatives from virtually the entire international community met in Paris Monday and pledged fully $7.4 billion towards helping create a Muslim Arab state in the heart of the 4,000-year-old Land of Israel.

That nearly 90 nations and global organizations came together for the post-Annapolis "donors' conference" and so generously poured financial assistance out upon the "Palestinians" illustrated the universal stand of the world in favor of the Arabs and against the Jews.

French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner exulted at the "massive" monetary response, which far exceeded the Palestinian Arabs' expectations.

"We wanted $5.6b., we have $7.4b., not bad," he said, and went on to stress that the primary purpose of the gathering was not the provision of humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of poverty-stricken Arabs, but the founding of "Palestine," an event that can only take place at Israel's expense.

The territory on which the State of Palestine is to be erected is very specifically the land which - the Bible unequivocally states - God gave exclusively and for all time to the descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob.

Despite the facts that (a) the Jews have always regarded this land as their own and (b) the Arabs have never had a state here, the international community is determined to finally deprive the former of this land and give it to the latter.

"The real winner today is the Palestinian state," Kouchner told the media, echoing the "Quartet of Powers" special envoy to the Middle East, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who described the event as "not a donors' conference but a state-building conference."

Conference host French President Nicolas Sarkozy lauded the day, saying that "what we must do now is work together before the end of 2008 for the creation of an independent, democratic, viable Palestinian state."

In this Sarkozy is in step with US President George W. Bush and his secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, who have made birthing Palestine the top foreign-policy goal of Bush's final year in the White House.

Unashamedly pressuring the conference attendees to give big, Rice said their financial support "literally" amounted to the Palestinian Arabs' "last hope."

According to reports, the European Union pledged $630 million, the United States $555 million, Saudi Arabia $500 million, Britain, France and Germany a combined $1.08b, Canada 300 million, Japan $120 million, Australia $45 million and other nations smaller amounts.

And what they'll get is a Iranian type Islamic dictorial government. An impoverished, corrupt, terrorist state that will leak continued aid like a sieve into other terrorist groups, and for greater amounts of weapons with which to attack Israel.

Officially...the Israeli gov't supports a Palestinian State. According to the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs they are hopeful for a Palestinian State that is led by the moderates. Sooooo...thats what the US, and the world, are trying to help acheive.

"Time after time, Israel has stated its desire to see two states - the State of Israel and a Palestinian state - living side by side in peace and security (as expressed in US President Bush's vision of 24 June 2002). Israel believes that a true resolution of the conflict will see two national states, a Palestinian state for the Palestinian people and a Jewish state for the Jewish people. Israel has no desire to rule over the Palestinians, and believes that a truly democratic Palestinian state fully at peace with Israel will promote the long-term security and well-being of Israel as a Jewish state." -- Official quote on the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs website

No, it is not as overy simple as you are trying to make it appear. I would also point out that the quote you took from Israel MFA website was careful to cite the following: "...that a truly democratic Palestinian state fully at peace with Israel will promote the long-term security and well-being of Israel as a Jewish state." It is not merely a Palestinian state that Israel supports but that it must meet a certain criteria before Israel will support the creation of such an entity.

Israel supports the creation of a Palestinian state, but only after certain conditions have been met. The internaitional community and the US State Department are advocating the creation of a Palestinian state at any cost, no matter what it takes. The US State Dept., and Sec. of State Rice are accellerating the process and have made the creation of a Palestinian state their top priority in the last waning months of the Bush presidency.

Israel supports the creation of a Palestinian state under the following conditions in no particular order:

1. The Palestinian Authority must be dissolved. The PA is a a terrorist organization whose very existance precludes a cessation of the conflict.

2. All terrorist organizations must be dismantled, their weapons confiscated and all terrorists who refuse to cease terror will be deported. Terrorism mucst be denounced and a genuine demonstration of the abandonment of the doctrine of terror over a reasonable and significant time period MUST occur prior to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

3. The Palestinians and their government must publically and forever acknowledge Israel as a Jewish nation and they must recognize Israel's right to exist.

4. All school and university textbooks that promote history revisionism, terror and hatred of Jews must be destroyed and replaced by genuine history, science arithmetic, and other such materials that aid in geninuine education and do not foment hate toward Jewish people.

The differece between what Israel wants and the international community wants are radically different. The international community is willing to ignore the fact that the PA is a terrorist organization, because any dislike they have for the PA is dwarfed by the unanimous, irrational hatred they all share for Israel.

The money being thrown at the PA will not be used to help the common Palestinian. It will go to line the pockets of PA leaders, and it will go to purchase more weapons and pay for more terror and kill more Jews. They are throwing money at an organization that has never used any money for anything more than fomenting more terror. A friend of mine, moshe, in Israel writes:

There is something out of kilter here. Somewhere a sense of proportion and logic has disappeared. It is wonderful that money has been raised to ease the economical pressures plaguing the Palestinian communities. Though it is less than wonderful that Israel is being blamed for this financial crisis without explorong the corruption, thievery and violence that has defined Palestinian leadership since their beginnings. It is also less than wonderful that governments of the world self righteously condemn Israeli obstruction of free movement and trade through the use of roadblocks while ignoring the murderous terrorism that led to those roadblocks.A sense of proportion and logic has truly disappeared

It is incredible that almost seven and a half BILLION dollars were promised to a Palestinian entity proven to be so rife with corruption that it was thrown out of leadership by its own people in the Gaza strip. It remains incredulous that so much money is being handed over to an entity that has not even begun or even expressed intention to begin the first steps needed to clean up the corruption and end the terrorist nature of their rule.~Jerusalem A Cup Of Staggering (www.jerusaleminsights.com)

The problem is not in the creation of a Palestinian state. The problem is that a the creation of a Palestinian state under the rule of the PA and Hamas will be not only NOT be a viable country, but will serve as nothing but a platform from which to launch more terrorist attacks more frequently and with greater ferocity against Israel.

The truth is, for those of us honest enough to admit it, the Palestinians do not deserve a nation, and have done nothing to prove that they could run a nation even if they had one.

One only need look at what the Palestinians have done to Gaza with its gang/turf battles and a recent civil war and the continued persecution of Christians in Gaza to see the degree to which peace would be achieved if a Palestinian state were to ever exist under the current conditions extant within the Palestinian communities.

The following look at Gaza is retrieved from the Beyond Images website (www.beyondimages.info)

Between 2001 and November 2007, 2,383 rockets, mainly Qassam missiles, were fired at Israel from Gaza

During the same period more than 2,500 mortar shells were fired at Israel from Gaza

A total of 190,000 Israeli civilians in Sderot and elsewhere live under the daily threat of rocket or mortar shell attack

10 Israeli civilians have died, including several small children, as a result of these attacks. It is miraculous the figure is not far higher

433 Israelis have been wounded

Six Palestinian groups are involved in rocket and mortar attacks, with the intensity and tactics depending on internal Palestinian considerations: Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Popular Resistance Committees, Hamas, Fatah groups active in Gaza, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the Popular Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

The above information is from a new report from the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, and is based on data compiled from official IDF data, as well as information published by Palestinian groups in their own media (go to www.terrorism-info.org.il)

And remember too:-

Attacks on Israeli kindergartens: Many Israeli children have had miraculous escapes in rocket strikes on kindergartens: See Beyond Images Briefing 188 - Twenty Seconds to Take Cover: Qassam Rocket Attacks on Israeli Schoolchildren

Attacks on Israeli energy facilities: Rocket attacks have been targeted on Israeli energy facilities in Ashkelon, with potentially disastrous consequences in the event of a direct hit: See Briefing 171 - Palestinian Rocket Attacks: The Threat to Israeli Energy Facilities

Hamas role spearheading the attacks: Hamas is leading a huge weapons build-up in Gaza, and has launched many massive rocket salvos into Israel. If Hamas temporarily curbs its own attacks (which it does only for tactical reasons) it encourages different factions to strike at Israel instead. We pray for the Government of Israel because they are in God's hands, not because we agree with their decisions or policies. Reality is God and His will. The things displayed on the news and in the high offices of the nations are man made. When reality collides with things made by man, always expect reality to be the last thing seen. We live in a real world with a real God in control. The man made substitutes will surely fail.

I wonder why Israel is setting herself up to be at odds with the entire world? Their leaders need to be banging the gong with those initial requirements so everyone can hear instead of letting foreign nations set the agenda for a "peace" agreement.

What's going to happen when the have to say "no" to any kind of deal that gets offered now? What's going to happen when they attack Iran (since no one else wants to address the situation)? Whats going to happen when America has completely sold her out for Saudi Arabia; assuming that hasn't already happened?

I wasn't intentionally trying to over-simplify it. I was simply making the point that Israel does support the notion. I was curious where you got your list...not that I disagree with it...just wondering if it was an official gov't list. I am under the impression that the Israeli gov't is still willing to deal with the moderate PA (as long as they fulfill certain requirements)..but your list would disagree.

She[israel] will be left with only God to turn to....

Hasn't that always been the case? And who better to be in charge of his child than the Heavenly Father of Israel.

Nothing and nobody and no power or other country is going to beat that.

My "list" is a summary of everything Israel has been saying for since Oslo.

Here is an example from the MFA website:

Israel has always been willing to compromise and all Israeli governments have been willing to make major sacrifices for the sake of peace. However, peacemaking requires concessions as well as confidence-building measures on both sides. Just as Israel is willing to address the rights and interests of the Palestinians, Israel has legitimate rights and interests that need to be addressed. Peace can only be achieved through negotiations to bridge gaps and resolve all outstanding issues.

Israel believes that it can make peace with a moderate Palestinian leadership that rejects terrorism. When in the past, Israel met Arab leaders, like President Sadat of Egypt and King Hussein of Jordan, who spoke the language of peace and were willing to take concrete steps for coexistence, Israel reached agreements with them and peace was achieved. Israel is willing to stand in peace with all the moderate states of the region.

For negotiations to be possible and for them to have a chance to succeed, Palestinian terrorism and incitement, supported by countries such as Iran and Syria, must be brought to an end. Extremist Palestinian elements, such as Hamas, are unwilling to recognize Israel's very right to exist, and continue to violently act against Israel, against the moderate Palestinian leadership and against the peace process. As such, they have no place at the negotiating table.

Dismantling the terrorist infrastructure is not only the first step in the Roadmap, it is also at the foundation of any peace process. Peacemaking requires the creation of a positive atmosphere, one that is free of terrorism and incitement, and one that promotes efforts to achieve mutual understanding. Israel has on many occasions taken steps to help improve Palestinian living conditions and the rehabilitation of the Palestinian economy. Israel has made - and is willing to make in the future - goodwill gestures towards the moderate Palestinian camp - such as easing movement by removing road barriers, transferring tax revenues and releasing prisoners. Israel is ready to take many such steps provided that Israeli security is not harmed and that the Palestinians do not respond with terrorism. MFA Frequently asked questions

The same article goes on to mention UN Res. 242 which Israel agreed to. Israel cites the following section of that resolution:

Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgement of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force;

Up to this point, the Palestinians and the entire Arab world are unwilling to live up to this because it requires them to recognize of the sovereignty, independence of every state in the area (including Israel)and their right to exist and live in peace. It is this principle that the Arab/Muslim world has been consistantly set against.

There is no way Israel can move forward until their right to exist is recognized as well as a concrete and lasting cessation of terrorism has been achieved. That is only reasonable. The Palestinians must first prove they want peace before Israel can realistically fulfill its obligations.

Olmert made the demand just before Annapolis that Israel expected the Palestinians to recoginze Israel as a Jewish nation, but the demand was made with a limp wrist, and negotiations went forward as they always do with Israel being forced to "negotiate with an entity that does not even believe Israel has a right to exist in the first place. If Israel had a real leader, he would have walked out on any negotitation after the PA's refusal to recognize Israel's right to exst as a Jewish nation and would have told Rice and Co. up which dark warm orafice they could shove the Annapolis peace talks. As it stands, Israel's leadership are as limp as a wet dishrag.

She will be left with only God to turn to....

And that comes as a surprise?

But we remember, that with God, 'One' is a majority :24:
